Are there camping sites you can recommend in or near Portoroz? We are looking for one that accepts camper vans.
Can't recommend anywhere specific, but the excellent official Slovenian tourist info site has a search engine which lists all campsites:

Click on 'campsites in Slovenia' in the left-hand menu. You can book through the site (which is in English).
There is only one campsite listed for Portoruz itself: Avtokamp Lucija
It does cater for camper vans. Their website is in Slovenian only, but if you google the name you can use the translate option to get an idea.

there are only two camp sites in slovenian istria and they are both fairly small and do not have the facilities of most campsites you normally see in europe, but i have seen campers there.
they are both pretty mush sitting "on top of portoroz" on the hill above town and they are 2-3 kilometers from town.

Some of the best cherries I ever tasted were bought on the side of the road heading from Portoroz to Ljubljana. There were several fruit stands similar to this one and I never suffered any physical health problems after eating the fruit purchased here.
PORTOROZ-aaaaaa,a place that represents my personality!Its soooo perfect,that i was thinking ,after i camed back in romania,only on portoroz!I was, am and will be obssessed about that place!!There are greate,friendly people.It was so grate last year,that i even choosed to go this year again.And i take my friends too,because they have to see that heavenly place too!One week i have to wait and than i will be on my favorite place on earth.I say to all people that reads my page:"That place rocks"!!!!!It changed my life,and i even regret a little bit that i am roumanian;)I must admit that i am a kind of gelous on the slovenian people:)They are verry lucky,that they live in souch a beautiful plece!I don`t find words enough to discribe that place!I hope you`ll understand what i mean and hope i`ll convince you that portoroz is a special place!!!!!!!!
