Planika hut by FRONA Its a second stop on the way to climb Triglav from Stare Fuzine (Alternative is Vodnikov dom). Nice and cosy, friendly people. Its right below the Top (alternative route would be over Kredarica). They have a very nice wooden bench in from where you can chill and drink beer and sunbathe. Make sure that they are open when you plan to go. A just by the way, the name "Planika" means flower Edelweiss :) WARNING: No shower facilities and only a basin to wash your face! Bring toilet paper as well :)
Great view and great chill out terrace :)

Hut near top of Krn Peak - Gomisckovo Zavetisce by mtncorg Mountain huts can be found throughout the Park along most trails and beside most of the big peaks. They vary in size and amenity - the largest and busiest being in the neighborhood of Triglav - Dom Triglav (also know as Kredarica) and Dom Planika. Costs are cheap, food is hearty. Some rooms are available but most of the sleeping is done in a dormitory setting. If you are a member Alpine club, costs are cheaper yet. They can be places where you can come into direct contact with people you would normally never meet and experiences and maybe a few beers can be shared over wonderous views.
Each hut is unique: architecturally, topograpically and historically. Some are in meadows, others near mountain peaks. Some, you can drive up to, while others demand hours of hard walking to reach.

Passing through Ljubljana on your way to the mountains? Then stop in at the Alpine Club Ljubljana-Matica at Miklosiceva 17 Street, open weekdays 8.30 to 12.30 and 14.00 to 17.00 and get yourself a membership. All you need is 5.100,oosit (2.900,oo for students) and a photo of yourself. Then you can stay at their huts for half price! Plus you'll be supporting the nice people who help look after the park. 7 lakes by FRONA After having experienced Kredarica's cold, I can share with you that this is the cosiest of the huts that I slept in on Triglav. I had reserved a private room and it was quite nice. The hut is right on the Dvojno jezero (double lake) and if you happen to have a nice shiny day, its great! WARNING: must reserve a place to stay since the last time I was there too many people came without reservation and they had to sleep on the kitchen floor (there was a thunderstorm outside so no one wanted to leave).
Hut is clean, cosy, staff is friendly, there is a flush toilet. Warning: the food is not so good and its expensive.

by blaird The hut system in Triglav is wonderful. Before hitting the trails, review your map and make note where the huts are on the trail system. There are a number of huts all within a few good hours hiking of each other. You will stay in a large room of beds, but at least you get a bed, with a mattress and blankets, AND clean sheets. I found it to be a great experience.
When I was there is September, there was no heat and you get one sheet and one blanket, so I ended up wearing much of my warm gear to sleep. Keep this in mind for a more enjoyable night's rest. Theme: HostelComparison: least expensiveAddress: Check your mapsDirections: On the trails...

Zasavska Koca by FRONA Standing strong at 2071 m, this hut is basically on the crossroads across Triglav. I came ther after a 2.5 hour hike from 7 lakes hut but there were people there who hiked from Trenta and Soca valley as well as people from Planika. It seems to be a cosy place to stay. Also take a reservation and since the hut is very exposed to wind, take worm clothes for over nitght. Unique qualities of the place are a fantastic view of Triglav from the "back yard" (usually I watched it from the side of Vodnikov Dom, Kredarica and Planika).
Warning: the toilet is outside of the hut! MUST SEE: take a goulash soup and polenta followed bt pudding - it was verrrrrrrrry tasty!!! Actually the best food of all the huts!

Kredarica by FRONA Ok, be prepared for no heating in the rooms, make sure you have a reservation and enough money caus it aint cheap. Kredarica is, althought, the only place upthere that may be open also in the wintertime. Make sure to check, if you are going there, that its really open and has places to stay. If you are a member of some mountaineering club you get (I think) around 15% or even 20% discount on overnight stay (50% for UIAA membership). At Least Do This: Bring refreshing wipes, make sure you have enough dry clothes caus you aint gonna shower up there :)
