Hostels in Almeria

by Supers1984

Hi, I will be travelling to Almeria late August/Early September. I will be coming from Seville but think it's a bit of a trek from there so might stay in Malaga overnight, would this be a better idea? I'd prefer to be in Almeria for three nights so if anyone knows how long the journey is from Seville to Almeria and how much it costs that would be great.

Once in Almeria does anyone know any cheap hostels to stay in and also the average prices of meals amd drinks etc.

Thanks!

Sofie

You can get on the train ? It takes about 5 hours from Seville to Almeria via Granada. You hit Granada after 3 hours so maybe it's an excse to see Granada?
You can get the fares and stuff at www.renfe.es
4 times a day.

Guadix - a village with caves instead of houses.
Living in a cave is tradition there, which can be viewed in a cave museum.

To build such a cave house you have to buy a hill and dig a cave with different rooms (kitchen etc.) into it. And... this house costs just one third of a 'normal' house.

Almeria is the capital of the province of Almeria. It is located in
southeastern Spain on the Mediterranean Sea and all its area
is an important Mediterranean tourist resort area.

"Warm & Dry"

An interesting thing about this
destination is that Almeria is
the driest region in Europe as
well as one of the warmest with
an average annual temperature
of 19 C.

Due to its arid landscape, numerous
"spaghetti westerns" as they are called
were filmed here.

"Attractions"

One of Almeria's most famous natural
spots is the Cabo de Gata Natural Park.

This volcanic origin park is the marine
terrestrial space of greatest surface and
ecological relevance of all the European
Western Mediterranean Sea.
