MOJACAR
Muslim flavour and mystery: small narrow streets, bright white cubic houses, small squares, arches and suggestive corners.
Mojácar is 17 km of beach and coves of which 12 km are untouched, with a vast protected area for nudism.

Hiya VT,
long time no speak, however am going to Almeria for Xmas on Friday and would like to spend a few days in Barcelona whilst in Spain. Have always wanted to visit and also am thinking of teaching English there in Spring..How would I get to Barcelona.. is there a train? How long and how much would I expect to pay?
Also can you recommend a nice friendly peaceful hostel in Barcelona for the over 30's? Also when I return to Almeria can you recommend anywhere where I can visit and maybe meet some people to hang out with?
thanks again ; )
check for trains on:
www.renfe.es
Thankyou very much for the website, which was in English and easy to follow. However it takes about 11hours on the train.. was I mistaken in thinking it was a lot closer than this? Maybe it is more usual to fly there... ? Any thoughts VT. your advice for travelling is invaluable and I have recommended VT to many many friends all the time.
cheers *

I've been in Almeria twice: the first one I was impressed by the yellow dry look of its desert landscape. The second one it was still the yellow, but the plastic of the endless greenhouses. Anyway, Almeria is the most desert area of Spain, where agriculture is almost a miracle, and the coast tries to resist against the general spreading of touristy resorts.
