Hotel Porto Magno

We booked this four star hotel in a package. It's a wonderful hotel with good service and great kitchen, despite of the fact that it's a little bit bigger.

Unique Quality: It's close to the beach, has a pool area and a tennis place.

Hotel Porto Magno Aguadulce...

Hotel Porto Magno Aguadulce Four stars.

It was a good choice, we took the bancotel bonus (48 euros per night double room), as we were close to Almeria anc close to the motorway to travel around Almeria.

The best was the Restaurant A la Sal, the first time I have ever had dinner at the same restaurant, excellent cheff at excellent prices, everyday was a surprise ... (a great one of course LOL)

Winter in Almeria!

by dabber47

My wife and I are planning to escape the worst of England's winter in 2005.
One of the places I am considering is the area to the east of Almeria.
I would like to spend January and February 2005 in El Cabo de Gata or the surrounding area. Does anyone know of any small, one bedroom apartments for rent in this area, for this period?

Hy, I just seen the forum sorry if it is late.

i used before www.bancotel.com for hotels near Almeria, i had stayed in Almerimar and Aguadulce and both hotels for 50 euros the room per night.

the tourist office of CAbo de Gata if you write them an email, they can provide you with a list of hostals on San Jose inside the natural park.

Let me know if you are still interested, I went two years ago in February and loved it, better than in summer thant is packed lol

Hi Carmen,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Yes I am still interested.
Do you have the e-mail address for the tourist centre in Cabo de Gata?
Or do you know where I can find it?
Thanks again.

Hy,

this si their web site

http://www.cabodegata-nijar.com/index.php

their contact form is this one

http://www.cabodegata-nijar.com/contacte.html

or the email

grupoj126@larural.es
I did a 4x4 excursion with them, and they are really good, specialy in winter, as you may ahve the excursion for you alone.

Also there is a hostal at my favorite beach called Los Escullos, but a very lonely place, San jose is more lively.

Casa Emilio at Escullos beach for around 30 euros in winter, or at least the last time we passed by.

If you ahve any questions about that area, do nto hesitate.

Also in the hotel where I stayed in Aguadulce, we found lots of North Europeans spending the whole winter there, they said to us that they got especial offers than was cheaper than paying the central heating at home lol
