Calle Maldonado
by bugalugs
This narrow winding street which leads to St Peters Church, which you can see peeping over the rooftops was once a street where nobility lived. When we walked down it there was a young boy revving his scooter up, oh how times have changed :-)

Convent of Mecedarian Nuns
by bugalugs
This building looked so old that to me it didnt even look occupied. But it is. It is a convent to a closed order, meaning these nuns dont come out (at very seldom under special circumstances). However before it became a convent in 1642 it was actually a prison! You can though buy cakes and biscuits made by the nuns. In the doorway there is a buzzer, the nuns take your order and it is delivered in a revolving door.
Arcos - THE White Town
by alucas
We stopped for a couple of hours in Arcos de la Frontera for a brief visit during our journey from Jerez to Marbella. Our timing was not very good though, because by the time we had parked the car at the bottom of the town and walked up into the centre, it was almost one o'clock, and everywhere was shutting down for lunch. So we stopped and had lunch too ! So we only had time for a stroll around the centre of the town, looking at the smart houses lining the narrow streets, and will just HAVE to go back next time we are in the area.
Arcos is perched on the edge of a cliff, and there are views for miles. The church in the picture is right at the highest point of the town, and there are some photos of the outside of the church, the surrounding streets, and the views in my travelogues. I won't be writing tips on Arcos,as our visit was too short, but hope you enjoy the photos anyway.
Another hidden beauty in Andalucia

"Incredible Scenary"
My interest over this city came through VT as many people said it was the nicer white village of Andalucia and many tours guides say, this should be the starting point of the white villages tour.
I founded incredible but needs some improvements to be able to compete with places as Ronda (that’s my personal opinion).
What I loved was the scenery, the views....
All Photos had been take by me or Stace (Beach_dog)
The city is placed on the top of the cliff, with incredible views of all the countryside and the lake.
You can see here the influence of the cultures that had lived around, where Muslim and gothic mixes.
