This place is a pleasant, no frills pension, recently built in a fairly typical Andalucian style. It has a nice courtyard and even a handy direct, private entrance to the beach.
Rooms have tv and a shower room and are cleaned daily. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
A breakfast of tostadas with coffee is included in the price. But orange juice, bizarrely, costs extra. It's kind of worth it though because it's squeezed from the orange right in front of you.
The one and only downside of this accommodation is that there is no dedicated car park and parking can get very difficult indeed around here during the summer months.
If you can get one of the three rooms with a shared balcony that overlooks the sea, these are the best value and you can feel that you really are in one of the best rooms in town.
The views are really tremendous, over the sea and the natural park just next door. You can people watch or just stare out to sea, or at night, watch the lighthouse beam swing around and around while listening to the distant mutterings of people below and watch the flames of the beach bonfires glowing out of the pitch black.
If we hadn't stayed at this place, then I would have been very disappointed by Canos de Meca. This pension and more importantly the balcony, really made it worthwhile.
