Goes cold quickly after the sun goes down - an hour later than in UK.
I know it is a very busy, popular resort - bars etc, too busy for me. But it all depends on what you like to do. Plenty of interesting places to get to from there if you are intersted in history and architecture eg Granada and Seville. Also Malaga for architecture and art galleries.Good local bus services to villages like Ojen and Mijas.
Have a great trip but pack something warm for evenings and a showerproof jacket - just in case!
Definately with shorts if you are like me or eskimo. As allready answered, you can wait something like 15-18 on daytime. If you wander closely, try Sierra de Mijas (and Mijas village). Might be an adventure on these winter days. And if you have possibility to go further, there is Granada, Alhambra and (with you passort) Gibraltar. Have fun and let's hope more sun!

At least you'll be among tourists so you wont be out of place if you choose to wear shorts. Often I go to places which are stifling (to us) and I'm the only one in shorts, the Spanish often wearing jumpers! Good job I'm not too self-conscious, if I'm hot, I wear less.
So obviously you need to be prepered for sun, rain and cool evenings. Easy.
Its amazing to think how crowded this beach will become in the High season.
Plenty of sunshine and lots of people enjoying the beach with a good book and a cool drink. Coming here at the end of season I had the whole beach to myself, not that this is a fond memory just pointing this out in case you wonder why there's no one in the picture.
Have visited here for our Sunday roast dinner for the past couple of years. They do an excellant carvery.
The first Sunday this year, everything was very good. The food & service was first class.
The following Sunday, the restaurant was much busier, hence the service was a bit slower & they had also ran out of draught beer.
Saying that, there was only one person taking orders & serving drinks so that was to be expected (& your on holiday after-all, so whats the rush) & that does not distract that the food was still very good.
Can not comment on their full menu.
Located beside the Mini-golf, heading Fuengirola direction, just before the Windmill roundabout.

Jardines del Muro gardens are a lovely sight with a great view of the coast and it is said you can see as far as Africa from this beauty spot. The gardens were designed by César Manrique and have beautiful flowers and streams and a café. From there you can see Castillo Colomares, see my previous tip.
There is an elevator to the top where the church is located and a lot of steps. As I came from Castillo Colomares and not from the village I took the steps.
