Benalmadena Pueblo
by ettenaj
The village is an award winner for being the prettiest in the province, and provides a welcome break from the coast. Its small church and surrounding gardens afford panoramic views of the countryside. Narrow back streets house a handful of craft shops, restaurants and the interesting archaeological museum.
Castillo Bil Bil

Castillo Bil Bil at Benalmadena costa.
Close to the sea you can find this nice castle of arabic influences. Was constructed at the 1930´s.
Now is being used for exhibitions from the town hall.
I like it specially at night.
Out of season
by dave123taylor
We went out of season in 1995, the weather was good enough for short and te shirt in the day, 23-28c and pleasantly cool in the evening, the beaches had only a few people on them so you were no isolated. The beer was at a reasonable price and not inflated for the summer season. The bar and restaurant owners were glad of the custom and had time to look after you.
Price have gone up since the euro but we were getting a coffee, brany and a buscuit for around £0.50 and the same for a beer. A meal and drinks for two was costing around £10.
We made full use of the local transport, which is very good, trains and busses.
