Boats and Buildings

To me, the most attractive part of Benalmadena has to be the Marina and harbour complex. With over 1,000 berths and more being built, it is amongst the best harbours anywhere in the world.
There's so much to see here, and you can just meander through between the moored boats on one side, and the attractive, modern shops and apartment buildings on the other. Lots of places to eat, or just have a glass of wine or a cup of coffee.
Visit Aquarium Sea-life by the marina.

I just loved my visit to Aquarium Sea-life by the marina! There are just so many fish to see, and I pay Sea-life a visit every time I visit Costa del Sol. My favourite is the glass tunnel you walk through with sharks and sea-turtles swimming over your head. And the sea-horses, they are very lovely. I am a bit of an animal-nut so I am very easily impressed by all the various kinds of fish on display. And it doesn't hurt that Sea-life is committed to marine conservation.
It is open all year round from 10 a.m. and there are many discount tickets you can get, f.ex. 2 for 1, 2 Euros off, 4 Euros and 5 Euros off, so before visiting and paying the entrance fee of ca 11 Euros, find these discount tickets at your hotel or the information centers. I found 4 Euros off at the hotel and the Bus-terminal, but on my way to Sea-life I came across a discount ticket for 5 Euros off at one shop in Torremolinos.
Take the tourist train in Benalmádena.
by Regina1965
There is a tourist-train which takes you around Benalmádena. The train runs from Puerto marina to Tivoli and back. We bought the tickets at the ticket-office at Puerto marina in Benalmádena. We were going to The Teleférico cable-cars opposite Tivoli (see my tip) and wanted to make a day of it and thus decided on riding on this small train. What a ride it was, it lasts for 45 minutes and it was ever so bumpy and slow and I would not decide on taking it again. We bought a return ticket but decided on walking back.
The train-stops are at Puerto Marina, Parque Selwo Marina and Parque de la Paloma, Teleférico cable car and Tivoli and back.
A round-trip costs 4 euros.
