    typical youth hostel

    by

A typical youth hostel: nice place to meet people and nice roof terrace with hammocks. Very informal, they make no secret of it that joints are allowed. Friendly workers. Close to the beach, you can even rent surfboards. Doors of the dormitories don't close and usually just stay wide open. Very loud music in the afternoon, which lasts until the night. They warn for it at the reception: "if you can't stand it, get earplugs" :-)
Reception doesn't open before 10 am and is closed again during siesta.

I stayed in a lot of hostels and this wasn't really my cup of tea, but of course it depends what you are looking for.

    Directions: Barrio Santa Maria

  • A Place for Backpackers!

    by

If you are a backpacker, young or don't want to spend all you holiday money on your hotel then Casa Caracol is for you.

It only costs about 16 euros a night and is located in the old centre right by the town hall!!! A great place to be situated!

Unique Quality: One of the cheapest places in town. It is renowned for it's friendly atmosphere.

Directions: It is extremely well located by Plaza San Juan de Dios (where the town hall is) in the heart of the old town. It s very near to the port, bus and train station.

    Best Hostel in Cadiz!

    by

I called the same day to see if there was a room...the owner said that he could arrange it, so there I go. I got there and was sooo amazed by the atmosphere! People relaxing and so nice!
They didn't have place in the hostel itself, but rooms in a flat.A great flat with a big kitchen and some other rooms...I stayed there for 3 nights...but could have stayed more...I really liked it!

Unique Quality: - The roof with a lot of hammocks...at night there's always a party and there were some people that slept there for a reduced price.
    - cool and young staff that makes parties every night.
    - Free Internet

Directions: near the cathedral (if u r looking to the cathedral u have to go the street on your left and than it's one of the small streets on your left)...it's difficult to see it actually...there's a balcony on top of the door.
