Mercado (Market)
I had heard that this market was the first indoor market in Spain, I´m not sure at what date it was constructed. On the Saturday we visited it was certainly busy, stalls selling just about everything you need in day to day life.
a grand monument with awesome parks around

Building Ornament, Cadiz, Spain
I have previously stayed in Rota on Costa de La Luz and this time I am planning to stay in one of the above places - I am a big fan of the sea, beautiful beaches and nature.
After weighing up what seems to be less windy and less touristy but with a nice villagey atmosphere, I have been trying to find accommodation in Zahara but can't find any reasonably priced accommodation.
I have found the following accommodation in Zahora but I can't find much information about what Zahora is like.

Can anyone give me their thoughts please? Would prefer not too much wind, not too many people (I hear Canos de Meca is very beautiful but very busy), but would like to be able to walk to the beach and to restaurants/supermarket.
Thanks in advance

I stayed at Zahara del los Atunes in June, but we rented a house in one of the newish urbanisations further along the beach. The village of Zahara is lovely, not too touristic yet (quiet while we were there) and full of fantastic restaurants. Don't forget to watch the sunset! There is a bar at the end of the beach which plays lovely music while the sun goes down!
It can be quite windy, the beach is very long and soft sand.
Have fun!
Undoubtedly Zahara
Better beach
better restaurant(
better prices
not so tourist
I have just come from both towns and can assure you that it is not conparacion between both villages
The beach of caños de Mecca is nudist.

You may find the local youths enjoying the Parque Genoves. It offers some winding paths. interesting sights, benches to rest, and area to play. At first sight these teens wanted to appear tough, like a gang, but revealed their nature as they hammed it up for the camera.
There are certain days that everyone goes dressed in fancy dress, but do not worry, you can always buy a hat or a wig at the local shops or stalls on the streets. Dressing in fancy dresses is a social activity I think, most of them come in groups, I guess many costumes can be from previous years, and sometimes is last minute decision, like in our case when I was living there (hey normally was exams week or nearby!)
BREAKFAST WITH CHURROS
For a typical breakfast go to the Central Market Square (Plaza de la Libertad, near Torre Tavira). At the right side of the market, outside, there are several little kiosks where they make and sale the typical churros (fried dough).
You can buy them by weight or price (estimate about 100 ptas. per person), take them and have them with a coffee at one of the little bars aside. Interesting to see how they make the churros in huge pans!!
In the modern part of the city, between the Melia Caleta Hotel and the Football stadium there is a nice seaside walk by the beach with many terraces, discos, bars and night clubs.
If you are looking for nightlife in the SUMMER, come here! In winter some places are open, but nightlife activity concentrates in the old town rather than here...
