There aren't too many hotels in Cadiz, so I was happy to find one with a good rating within walking distance from the train station. It's actually quite a few blocks from the train station and turned out to be hard to find. I walked along Av del Puerto looking for Calle Rubio y Díaz, but of course the street I wanted wasn't marked with a street sign. After walking almost the entire length of Cadiz (it doesn't take long) I started asking for directions and eventually found the hotel. For those hoping to find the hotel on their first pass, I've include a picture of what the street look like from Av del Puerto (look for three street light along the wall). You might also note that the street for the hotel is a one-way leading away from Av del Puerto. The hotel was larger than expected but very quiet. The room was a bit dated / tired, but the bathroom was huge and well appointed. The most exciting aspect of the hotel was that it had an ice machine. A small one to be sure, with hardly room to place a glass under the nozzle, but I'm not sure that I've ever seen an ice machine in a European hotel before. The best price I found for April 2008 was on Venere at E65.
