Overpriced, not worth 4 stars
had to stay in this hotel during my trip to Gibraltar as I arrived to La Linea after dark and was too tired to look for anything else.
The pros: really big room and bathroom ( I was on my own, but got a double room), very nice smiley and helpful young lady in the reception the morning I checked out, luggage storage.
The cons: the shared areas (halls etc) are smelly, everything looks old as it wasn't renovated for the last 30 years, the outdoor pool closes at 8pm and it's not heated and in the shadow so you can only use it in the evening for a short period of time unless you like swimming in the cold water. The breakfast was so-so, had a very limited choice of food - not even close to what you would expect from a four star hotel. Every possible service in the hotel is charged at the enourmous rates: wi-fi - EUR6, tea bag - EUR2, etc..
To sum up, I was dissapointed. These guys should either reduce their prices and the number of stars for the time being, or to undergo a major renovation and modernisation to achieve the level of a 4 star hotel.
