We are flying into sevilla airport at 11.45 on a Saturday in July and we have looked every where on the internet to try and find bus timetables to get to conil and we can't get anything can you help us? We are not staying in a hotel so there is no bus to transport us to conil. If you can help us will you e-mail me back with a bus timetable to conil from sevilla thank you.
Re: how do i get here
maybe take train Sevilla- Cadiz and from there- bus?
Re: how do i get here
Major bus company in this part of Andalucia is Transportes Generales Comes: http://www.tgcomes.es. You could also try this link: http://www.seviquorum.com/transportes/autobuses/provinciales/index.htm. Attention: not all the buses go to Conil centre, some only stop at the other bus stop called "Casa de postas" about 2 km outside of Conil, from there you have to get a taxi.
The other possibility would be to take a train to Cádiz and continue by bus to Conil from there. There is a very frequent bus service between Cádiz and Conil.
Travel Tips for Conil de la Frontera
Blue Skies, Golden Beaches and White Houses
My favourite thing about Conil has to be the golden beach that stretches for miles around lapped by the dazzling blue sea and sky and backed by nothing but a small white village. Untouched by large development, a true virgin beach. There are much prettier white towns in the Andalucia it is true, Conil can be said to be an average looking white town, but Conil's advantage is that it is ON an amazing beach and isn't industrial in any way. It is by NO means ugly either.
The other great thing about Conil is that you can use it as a base to explore other great towns and beaches close by such as Bolonia, Roche, Los Caños de Meca, El Palmar and the stunning white village, Vejer de la Frontera.
There are plenty of foreign visitors in Conil but the ARE NOT Brits abroad or sun bed stealing Germans. They are laid back Brits and Germans out to find some peace and blend in with the culture, not export theirs here.
It is not a real things to do place, but a place to forget about all your worries and relax, getting away from everything that reminds you of back home. There are no ridiculous tourist shops that sell squishy boobs and it is not overrun by English bars or the such.
It has been a German holiday resort for years and has many ex pats living in the area, but they have taken good care of it and kept it very Spanish.
I also love the fact you turn down a road and find yourself looking out to sea unexpectedly.
There are hundreds of beautiful hidden patios inside the houses, all painted in white and full of plants and flowers.
Don't be shy, go in and explore, local people are kind and, as long as you don't bother, you will surely be welcome to come and look...
