VT Review Summary

Comprised of 18 rooms, Hospederia Duque San Martin Cordoba is 1 star hotel located on Barroso in the Juderia, part of the old city area. Attractions in the vicinity include the Archaeological Museum of Cordoba, Calleja de las Flores, and Casa Andalusi. Hospederia Duque San Martin Cordoba received a 51% satisfaction rating. Positive reviewer comments included clean rooms with enough food and coffee to go around at breakfast. Moderate reviews say this hotel "does the job" and is suitable for young backpakers. Guests mentioned that they offer some live concerts and Flamenco in their dining area on a stage that spans 1 meter by 1 meter. There were few negative comments such as a disorganized breakfast and a suggestion that the whole place could use a refurbishment. Amenities include multilingual staff, air conditioning, wireless Internet access, and rollaway beds available upon request.

Hostel San Martin for good access

The only MAJOR problem we had was finding this hostel.....it is located in the Juderia, part of the old city area where there are many small and winding streets, poorly marked and many for pedestrians ONLY...so when we attempted to drive there we got lost. Could not find anyone to speak English. Finally arrived after 3 hours...But it was worth it in the end once we got them to attach the air conditioner so we could rest comfortably in the afternoon.

Unique Quality: The rooms were small, but clean. The windows did not open or close easily and they had put very heavy bamboo slated window shades so you could not actually move them. The breakfast was very disorganized, but they did have coffee and enough food to go around.
But even with all these small bothers, we did very much enjoy our stay here for one good reason, we were within walking distance of almost EVERYTHING...this place is VERY centrally located and the price is very good also. They also offer an Internet Lounge (two computers in the dining area). They also note that there is "no curfew"...actually what they do is give you a key to the front door. Also they offer some live concerts and Flamenco in their dining area (which is about large enough to seat 25 people) on a stage that is only 1 meter by 1 meter.
