Rabo de toro in Cordoba??

by adid12

Hi, 2 years ago while in Cordoba I had terrific rabo de toro in a small but fully packed restaurant, I think around calle leiva aguilar, but I'm not sure.
I want to send a friend there, Do you know the correct address?

We had the BEST rabo at Casa Pepe de la Juderia.

C/ Romero 1

If you go to Google and enter 'casa pepe de la juderia cordoba' you'll get the little map - this is where I got the address from.

Tnx for reply, but these are not the place I was looking for.
What you mentioned are more of a "proper" tourist restaurant and what I'm looking for, is kind of a family place. We walked around noon time and suddenly came across this place that was jam packed with locals. So we stepped in, we did not know what to order so I ordered what I saw the next table had, that looks good. We got a large dish of what later we learned is Rabo de Toro, with some bread and we dived in. Into one of the finest dishes we had. I might be wrong about the
location, but I do recall that it was rather close to calle Blanco Belmonte as we use to take it up to our hotel

Travel Tips for Córdoba

The cordoba card

by sourire76

As we were staying only one day in Cordoba, we decided to take the cordoba card which is a very useful card.

The card is sold for 17€ a day and with it you will be able to benefit from:

- All museums and monuments in Córdoba.
- Bus to Archaelogical site of Medina Azahara (you will have the choice between the 11AM and the 6PM bus (we go for the 6PM one).
- A guided tour along the area declared World Heritage.

The card also gives discount on some restaurant and shopping area.

General things

by Kuznetsov_Sergey

Cordoba is located in headwaters of Guadalquivir. The city is included in the List of the World cultural heritage. The historical part of the city is on the left northern bank of the river. The center of the historical part of the city is the well-known Mosque - one of the greatest mosques of the world. Jewish area Juderia is kept to the West from the Mosque. More close to the river there is palace Alcazar.

SALMOREJO

by LoriPori

Carmen introduced me to a delicious Spanish dish called SALMOREJO. I really enjoyed the taste of it. It's basically a dish that you dip bread or little crackers into. It had a lovely mild taste. I'd like to share the recipe I found for it.
Recipe for 6 Persons
1/2 kg of bread
1 kg peeled red tomatoes
1 clove of garlic
olive oil - salt - vinegar
boiled egg - parma ham
Mix bread, tomatoes, oil and garlic with a food mixer.
Puree' with salt and vinegar
Serve cold
Garnish with boiled egg and parma ham

Zuheros Little village with...

Zuheros
Little village with castle on a mountain. Try to stay at the Zahayra hotel. They will assist you by planning a hike-route.
In front of the village is the tourist-office. They are very helpfull, have lots of information and sell local products.
We made a hike-toer around the village, along the (former) river. We were confronted by a flock of sheep, walking over the road. Very nice tour. At the end you can you look down on the village. Great view.

Tapas bar in Jewish quarter

by Joyce_HK

Dining in Cordoba is more expensive than in Sevilla, probably because Cordoba is a more tourist place.

This tapas is less tourist and the price of food are more reasonable, although also located in the Jewish quarter.
