Hotel Occidental Gran Capitan is a 93-room hotel located on Avenida De America, within walking distance of the train station according to guests who said they stayed there. Attractions in the vicinity include Palacio Museo de Viana, San Nicolas de Villa, and the Archaeological Museum of Cordoba. Hotel Occidental Gran Capitan received a 40% satisfaction rating. Positive reviewer comments included friendly and helpful service level all round, smooth check-in, good size room and “enormous” bathroom. Reviewers also mentioned this is a good hotel in a busy tourist town, an “average property”. Guests mentioned that it’s not very close to the historic attractions, so you should be prepared for least a 20-25 minute walk. There were many who said they were dissatisfied with the breakfast, and some others said the bedrooms were musty, bathrooms were stained, and the place was in need of an overall refurbishment.

A good hotel in a busy tourist town
Stayed 23rd to 24nd February 2004.
Good service level all round. Check-in smooth, friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasn't included in our stay.
Room was a very good size and the bathroom was enormous, one of the biggest I've used anywhere in the world.
Our stay was in the middle of Winter ( it rained intermittently) so the tiled floors everywhere made perfect sense for the very hot summer.
Not in the most central location, but Cordoba is a small town really. Everything was only a 10 minute walk away.
Would stay there again.
