Macia Alfaros: Great hotel close to the city center
This hotel was perfect for our needs. Just like all the other hotels during our visit to Spain, we needed a hotel that provided a parking facility either free or paid. This hotel provided us exactly that.
We found this hotel on hotels.com with an excellent rate and centrally located to the city center. We arrived early in the evening (after getting lost) with no real reservation, but with the information of the hotel in hand. Lucky for us the hotel had availability for the one night stay we needed and we quickly booked the hotel. The front desk agent was very attentive explaining the parking procedure, the breakfast (paid) and the local area. She handed us a map and said if we needed anything to ring her.
The exterior of the hotel is unimpressive, but the interior is quite nice. There is a large front desk and lobby area, with a few bars.
Our king room was quite large with a flat screen tv, a chair and nice comfy bed. The bathroom was a good size with a tub. We didn't explore the rest of the hotel as we arrived in the early evening and checked out after exploring Cordoba the next day.
The hotel was a good choice for our needs, with a good size room, parking garage and within walking distance to the old city center, service was good and attentive and friendly.
I believe we paid about 75 Euros during our trip in January 2012.
This hotel provided for all our needs. I was centrally located, within walking distance of the city center and provided for a place for parking. The price was excellent for the time of year.

Hotel San Miguel: Best deal in Cordoba
This hotel is one of the best deals in Andalucia. The hotel is located about halfway between the bus/train station and the Juderia. The location is close enough to all the sites but far enough away that it is actually quiet at night. It contains simple rooms with a full bathroom, TV with a few local channels, and an inside courtyard. The staff is very nice and around all night. Breakfast is included but many reviews said that it isn’t that great, so we skipped it. Try to avoid room 1 as it is right next to the entrance.

Any government campground.
Spain has a great number of government run campgrounds. It is an economic and enjoyable way to travel around Spain. I recommend staying in a hostal or hotel every couple of nights and camp out the rest. Truly makes the trip more memorable and you meet more people.

Camping Carlos III: Hard ground...
In August the campsite ground is like hammering nails into concrete to get your tent pegged out.
It's hot and the shade is a token attempt.
Close enopugh to the city to be out of it but have easy access to the great monuments.
Open all year.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. This hostel is actually alongside the Mezquita - you can pretty much fall out of your bed into the site. Incredible. It has its own restaurant but there are plenty of little places alongside which are a better bet. Clean decent cheap rooms. Helpful staff and comes across more like a hotel than a hostel. A great bet.

Hotel Maimónides: Hotel Maimónides
This hotel in the heart of the historic district has its devotees, although it ranks down the list in charm from the Amistad Córdoba. Its location is ideal, right next to the Mezquita. The brick facade conceals a recently renovated two-story hotel. Today, except for a few tiles in the reception area, you get functional rooms short on style but long on comfort, with new beds and mattresses. The bathrooms, though cramped, contain good tub/shower combos.

One good option is the Hotel...
One good option is the Hotel Alfaros.
It was not expensive at all because we paid with the bancotel vouchers.
It has a moorish decoration, maybe too kitsch, but probably that is why it si so charming.
