Santa Ana Hostal: Good Hostal Near the Cathedral/ Mosque
Satisfaction:

A newly refurbished Hostal near the cathedral/mosque. The Hostal has a small roof terrace. The room was large for a Hostal and very comfortable. The Hostal has some parking which is good as parking in Cordoba is a nightmare. The Hostal does not do food but there are loads of cafes and restaurants nearby. I was there in December 2004 and it only cost 30E for a double room, parking is extra.
I chose the Santa Ana not because I read anything on VT, but because it was listed in the Rough Guide to Andalucia that I was given as a gift earlier in the year.
We had a front facing room, 204, with en-suite and TV. Not that we turned the TV on. The room was air conditioned and working out how to use it was quite simple!
The only negative comment for me was that the bed had a bolster and not a decent Englishman's pillow!
In the old town near (but not too near!) the Mezquita and has it's own parking.
Communication with the hostel was excellent by email and it was very easy to book a room and a parking space for my hire car.
Simple, small hotel recently renovated so it looked spotless inside. We stayed in 5 different hotels during our Spain trips and this one was the neatest.
No facilities, good location in old town - 10 minute walk to Mezquita, English speaking staff - quite helpful. Parking available 20m away from the hotel for 10E / per night, nice restaurant with a patio in the neighbourhood, price 60 E for a room with 3 beds.
