by ENNASUS217

Good Evening

Grateful if anyone could tell me how much to expect to
pay for a taxi from GIB to Estepona, and indeed if it
is easy?
Many thanks
Susanne

Right, why take a taxi when there are buses? It seems a little excessive unless there is a strong reason to do so.

Be careful if you do this to set the price before going as you'll probably be ripped off, as taxi drivers are notorious for taking advantage of tourists. DON'T GET IN IF THEY SAY THEY WILL USE THE METER!!!!!

As said above there are buses which are much cheaper than taxis. The bus station is only around 300m from the frontier. Nonetheless there are taxis just outside the frontier. For longer trips, taxis have a table of how much they are to charge. They will also add number of persons, and luggage to this price. Ask to see the table before you get on, might be a language problem though! No idea on the price, will let you know if I go over to La Linea this weekend.

GIBJOE is right they will also add money for luggage so be sure to be clear about this too. If there is a language barrier get them to write everything down clearly even if it means handing them paper and pen so they understand what you want.

I did a google search and found the website for Taxis in Estepona. (Did'nt find website for La Linea) From Estepona to La Linea is states that the fare is 47 euros about £40. Remember additions to this for number of passenger, luggage.

Have a look at

www.radiotaxi-estepona.com/tarifas_eng.php

They do have an email address maybe you can email them asking for information about La Linea.

Travel Tips for Estepona

he Beaches

by StinaArgbigga

Anyone that knows me knows how I just hate tanlines, we found the beaches to be topless and the three of us wasted no time, sunning ourselves all day. The beach next to the hotel was nudist, but one of my friends Ella was a little shy. We kept telling her not to be silly, but she would not listen, We both though she looked more out of place on the beach than us.

Gibraltar

by mvtouring

A day trip to Gibraltar is quite exiting. Visiting this little bit of England removed by hundreds of miles from the Island is quite interesting. The money you use here is British Pounds and you can have your authentic English fish and chips to eat here.

The Fishermens Marina

by GibJoe

Another thing to see in The Marina is the fishermen side of the marina. It is still in the same marina but away from the expensive vessels. In this area you will see the fishermen unloading the catch of the day from their fishing boats. Most of them are small fishing boats. Usually in the early morning or late evening the catch is auctioned and the pallets of fish covered with ice is loaded onto vans. It is not possible to buy fish, but you can see the auction. If you walk a bit further along you will find fishermen fixing their nets for the next day.

"Estepona"

I arrived in Estepona with twoof my sisters and my brother-in-law in the middel of the night. we were boked into a hotel in the centre, but it was so noisy, no one could sleep, so my brother-in-law set out to find us other accommodation. That was the best and we had a good time staying here awith lots of fun
