OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY
by LoriPori
Fuengirola was one of the original towns along the coast and existed well before tourism became popular. The evidence of this still exists in the town centre "Plaza de la Constitucion" with its narrow streets and lovely church "Ntra Sra del Rosario" OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY. It is a simple, yet beautiful white church, which dominated the square. All around it was a hub of activity as locals and tourists alike went about their business.

It is said that Fuengirola offers one of the best Marinas in the Mediterranean. There are many terraces and restaurants at the Marina, The Fishing Port and The Yacht Club and from the Marina you can go on dolphin cruises, sea fishing, scuba diving and other water sports.
The Promenade is lovely as well and filled with lovely statues. I add photos of 3 of the statues there. One of which is called "La historia de la Peseta" - The history of the Peseta.
On the Promenade you will also find a lot of African men selling fake label bags and watches and sun-glasses.
The 7 beaches in Fuengirola all have The Blue flag, which is given for cleanliness and good facilities.
