A plaque near the Church .
I am not sure what is written on this plaque ,but I do know that '' Alcalde '' in Spanish means '' Mayor '' in English,so I would think this is a commemorative plaque for a Mayor of the Town of Fuengirola.

what is the easiest way to get from malaga airport to the crowne plaza estepona on public transport and how much and how long will it take?
Easiest would be the airport express bus to Marbella, and then a taxi from Marbella to Estepona (about 20 km's)
I'm not sure of the exact price, but it won't be much.
The same bus company has also a local bus from Marbella to Estepona if you want the choice.

Visiting this lovely little town up in the mountains is a must. It is an amazing white village with colours thrown in with the use of tiles, pottery and flowers. You can even rent a donkey at the parking area and travel that way throught the town. Notice the narrow little streets.
It was cool and I was very pleased when Eva, brought us here to this nice Coffee shop ,
Pastelleria & Heladeria ,I guess just like our Coffee shops where you can have breakfast ,Churros as showned in the Travelogues ,Churros are like Donuts but they are long and skinny and curvey , you dip them in sucker and in your coffee as well
I thinks so ,I liked it like that. This Restaurant was just of the Plaza de La Constuticion next to the nice Pharmacia that I showed in another tip.
The castle El Castillo Sohail has got an interesting story. It is located on a hill at the outskirt of Fuengirola and is 38 meters above sea level. The Carthaginians and Romans occupied it continuously many centuries ago. On the ruins of these settlements the first buildings were erected at the time of the Caliphs. Then the Almohades built a defensive wall in the 12th century. And the Christian army occupied the castle in 1485 and adapted it to their military purpose, f.ex. they removed the eastern tower to fit their cannons, which are still on display at the castle. The castle is now being restored by the students of the Workshop of Fuengirola Town Hall.
The castle is a meeting place for the people of Fuengirola and the Fuengirola Town Festival is held there every summer.
You can reach the castle by foot and walking there from the train station takes ca 20 minutes. You then have to walk up the hill by a paved track. You get the best view of Fuengirola from the castle.
The castle is open all year from Monday to Sunday morning and afternoon.
Admission is 3 euros for adults.
