great hotel gardenia park , 2nd week oct. festival drunk spanish on hoarse back on a pub crawl great too see, chikitas looking amazing in traditional dress the BEAST book this trip with GRAHAM & DONALD in the harbour or visit www.youtube.combeastfuengirola &see for yourself . CLUB 92 DON'T MISS IT CHIKITAS !!!!!!
Had a great time last year (see review 4th October 2004) What has happened the food was terrible decided to eat out most nights the hotel was dirty, room was not very clean, no proper kids club what a shame!!!!!
contrary to all the negative reviews about this hotel
i have just spent a very enjoyable wek at this hotel
it is clean well run although a little old the staff work there socks off working upto 18 hours a day so that we can enjoy ourselves. the food was plentyful no restrictions on what you eat or drink not many all inclusive hotels let you get four drinks a time when you go to the bar.
all ways a smile from the bar staff and helpfull with the kids i took four grandchildren and they did not want to come home thats from two 13year olds and one 11 one 8 if you are going here use the train in to
fuengirola its cheap and quick and only 5min walk from the hotel. one bad point the lifts are slow but if you look there are other lifs at the other end of the building
Excellent all inclusive choice of food and drink readily available no queueing, no limit, good variety for everyone even a fussy 7 year old!
Rooms and hotel quite dated but spotlessly clean,weather still quite hot and so rooms still quite warm can imagine that in the heat of the summer
quite unbearable without air conditioning.
Entertainment good for the first few days when we arrived-28 October great for families, but as the week went on and families went home geared more to "older" clients,kids club seemed to stop. Under fifties and families should avoid until next summer now.

Location of hotel is OK not much in immediate area but taxi ride to Fuengirola approx. 6 euros.
After reading some of the reviews i felt i had to say something this hotel was brill!!hardly ever seen kids they had a ball. Entertainment works really hard,well done Fido and Enrique c you soon
Just got back last night...this hotel was absolutely spotless the maids were bril.
The room sizes are fine - 2 seperate sleeping areas.
The bar staff were happy to see you and the waiters were always smiling. The all inclusive food was realy good, always hot and always something for everyone. The weather was sunny and when it was not the entertainment staff were always on hand, I commend Emily who could not do enough for the kids.
The evening entertainment was ok have seen better- but the kids had a ball. There were quite a few Spanish people and they were really nice and we all got along well.
I reccomend this hotel withiout hesitation, its safe for kids, welcoming, relaxing, clean and friendly.
Having read the reviews on your site l was a little bit aprehensive about going to this hotel especially when we had been told builing work was going on.
I need not have worried, the hotel was very clean the staff were very clean, proffesional and very polite and friendly.
The food was very good with an exellent choice and plenty of it, never felt hungry.
The entertainment was first class and whatever you do don't miss the staff show on Friday nights its brilliant, and if you like bingo you love it in spanish and english.
I would recomend this hotel to anyone, and will be back.
My husband and i stayed at the Hotel Gardenia in March. The hotel was immaculate, spacious and very clean. We stayed All Inclusive, to which we found to be very good for the money. The menu caters for all types of people, even those who are on diets. I would recommend this hotel for middle aged people who enjoy peace and tranquility. This hotel has a very large lounge that is totally non smoking, which was lovely. You would be a fool not to go to this hotel. Ten out of Ten.
First off if you travel by train from the airport good service and cheap.. get off 2 stops before fuen ( you can see the hotel.) Good food, clean rooms, the chance to watch Spanish OAPs on their state provided holidays !!! very calm nice people.. they always say try to go where the locals go. Take some blanket trips.. free trips out eg Gibralta you have to give a little of you time whilst they try to sell to you. As for the weather it was GREAT what a bonus on a great little holiday... go on treat yourself.

The hotel is idealy situated although not apparrent when you first arrive.
The bus stop are outside the hotel, every 15 mins only a few euros to various destinations, we got on the bus to fuengerolia the gentleman infront of us said dos(four) ended up paying for his wife and us two at the rear very friendly bus drivers.(we payed him back got us all talking).
The train station is near the troblanca hotel up a steep hill passed the shops and the pharmasist on the right hand side of the road, clean and easy runs every 1/2 hour quater past and quater too, very promt be thier before hand.
We paid 5 euro for a taxi back from fuengerolia.
Plus you can walk about a thirty/fourty minute walk or three hour depending which bars/shops you stop at. Lovey taps we recieved some free with our drinks(tapas that is),we would walk in and catch the bus/taxi back.
We went to gibralter plenty to see no extra trips needed lovley shopping. We booked the dolphin safari the sea was very very very choppy 90% of the boat party was seasick (very unfortunate) but we saw lots of pods of dolphins(lovley).
Booked the trip down from the hotel going into fuengerrolia 31 euros each for gibralter/dolphoin safari.
You can go out on a boat to see the dolphins in belamindima for 5 euros.
Well lets see the are yes hotel some repair/upgrade work happening while we where on holiday,but only in the day time. Hotel very clean and tidy staff friendly to us, but the usual brits abroad syndrome. We where all inclusive like most people in the hotel. Some people where out to get value for money and you can do that if you wish, while the children are left to thier own devisise tired/bored and wanting to goto bed.
The entertainment was entertaining in a very holiday camp way. Don't forget the BINGO I don't play but ended up playing, my daughter won 140 euros nice end to the hols.(She never shared).
Full internet access on 1 euro for 1/2hour. Phoneing from room is cheap if you are ringing a landline.
Food was hit and miss, they had some very ususal mixes of food. Breakfast was good, lunch ok, evening meal medioca.
Snack consist, toasting machine, salads, hot dogs, burgers, icecream and various sweet snack, fruit, tea, coffee,jucie & wine all day ready prepared for you to help youself between 10.30am & 6pm they would close the area off at meal times.
Pool was frezzzzzzzzzzzzzzing you had to be brave to venture in thier, the indoor pool was no better. You have to pay extra for the juccazi/sauna.juccazi same temp as the pool. Sunbathing was lovely.
In summary the hotel is clean bright and airy and well situated. There is a busy raod outside the hotel, but to access the front of the hotel form the pool/playing area & resturant you have to go up two flights of stairs or take the lift, very safe for young ones.
Only a 50mins to drop off form airport to hotel.
Staff helpful and friendly. The reps only bother you if you need something no pestering for tips etc.
Food medioca but you can always find something to eat and if you don't like ask for something done different.
Nice clean play area for the childen.
Quite garden area looking over the seafront.
Clean pool small pool for the children NO GLASS allowed outside around the pool.
Only draw back thier is no only adult bar in the hotel, but you can take drinks into the foyer which was plesant.
Nice clean beach & good walks.
Good for local transpost.
Hey if you want a lively bars/night club thier's plenty in Fuengerolia only 5euros away by taxi .
No no noise night time.
And finaly if you are very very sad like me you can get up early 5ish and watch the fishing boat from your balcony for free.
Something for everyone.
The food lets the rest of the hotel down, better food and I would be happy to stay at his hotel again dispite the brits abroad syndrome.

hello i would like to get the train from malaga airport and need to know where to get off !!! what is the train station called nearest to the hotel and is it within walking distance . thankyou in anticipation .
having looked at the Google Map of your hotel location, I think the nearest station would be Torreblanca.
