CHURROS --- MMM
by LoriPori
As promised, Eva took us to her favourite place for CHURROS -- Costa Del Sol. When they brought us our plate of churros, I couldn't help but giggle. They were the funniest looking things, but they were awesome and delicious. No wonder they are a favourite custom.
A churro is a deep-fried pastry-based snack usually curled or spirally twisted. Churro connoisseurs dunk their churro into a mug of piping hot chocolate, thick in the Spanish fashion. This combination is called "chocolate con churros".
Churros are often sold by street vendors who fry them fresh and sell them hot, usually by the dozen or half dozen.
Taxi
by diageva
To take a Taxi for going around Fuengirola is very expensive, because the minimo is I think over 7 euros. Going to Malaga for example cost over 27 euros and to the airport over 21 euros ( today 26 of Nov 2003)
For more information and current tariffs better call the two oficial taxi companies
Unitaxi: 952 333 333.

Cataraman Boat Ride off Fuengirola
by angelab_nyc
If your going to be near the water, you should be on the water. I enjoyed my boat trip on the Aqua Vista-a glass bottom submarine/cataraman that does several sailings per day. I liked it was only one and a half hours long. It was a nice break from laying on the beach, yet was not an all day commitment. The boat goes out for over an hour and will take you to see dolphins. I saw dozens the day I went- they are beautiful & jump right out of the water to greet the boat. A nice quick scenic view of the coastline, and back in time for lunch!
Hire a car
by rachel_sun
As the hotel food was crap we went to loads of restaurants and bars. They were all pretty good and the food was good quality and think i put on half a stone ;-).We hired a car and went to a village called Mijas which was an enjoyable day out.
I remember driving to Mijas and the scenery on the way was great. Its 1400 feet above sea level and has some nice streets. Its very popular and coach loads of people visit during the day.We visited late afternoon as most coaches had left or were leaving. In the pic you can see behind me donkeys and horse and carts. You could hire a horse and cart and tour the town. But i decided to walk.I remember buying some caramel baked nuts things off a stall here and they were so yummy i bought another pack about an hour later.
