we arrived at the pyr hotel at 11am thinking that we may not be able to check in till 5pm. the man on reception as very helpful and gave us our room keys straight away. when we got to the room we found it be spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. all the cupboards in the small kitchenette had all the pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils that we would ever need!
we stayed on the top floor which had some fantastic views although we were slightly dissapointed by the new apartment block being built just over the road.
the pool was small but clean and its also heated from november to around april. in the summer there is a pool bar open.
the hotel has a lovely little bar attached to it with very friendly staff and yummy cakes! :)
the hotel pyr is in a perfect location right by the beach. i would definately go there again.
Unique Quality: heated pool in the winter and fantastic service in the ajoining bar.

A fun way to see Fuengirola is on the "TREN TURISTICO" TOURIST TRAIN. You can get on the Train at the "ESTACION DE TREN" near the Hotel Pyr. It takes you from Los Boliches, the centre of Fuengirola, to Torreblanca, the end of Fuengirola. I believe the cost is around 4 Euros.
Is a little touristic train that goes from Fuengirola to Los Boliches (central of Fuengirola) to Torreblanca (the end of Fuengirola) you can pick it up at Hotel Pyr at the Paseo Maritimo. Where it goes:
Paseo Maritimo - Portillo (Bus Station) - Mercacentro (principal market) - Los Boliches Monumento Romano (roman monument) - Torreblanca - Paseo Maritimo
