THE MARINA
by LoriPori
Fuengirola offers one of the best MARINAS of the Mediterranean. Situated right on the Fuengirola Promenade, it shares the enclosure with the Fishing Port and offers comfortable terraces, a large selection of restaurants and each Sunday, an outdoor market.
The Marina area offers cruises to see dolphins, water sports and sea fishing.
Breakfast
by diageva
Spanish people use to have a very light breakfast, a coffe, but ... at 12 or so you will see people having ... another breakfast ... perhaps churros ? ... I love churros, but as everything they must be very well done, if not they will be horrible. ... so ... they must be just done and in a very hot oil. ... in fuengirola you can have wonderfull churros at "Cafeteria Costa del Sol" in Plaza de la Constitucion. So if you are near there at morning or evening ... try them.
Small but cozy and the food was good.

Here in the market plaza of Fuengirola is this restaurant , it was small , a bit crowded ,but a nice place with good food and I had a coffee and pastry ,but people around me had very nice looking breakfast on their plates.
I was hiding in this place while Lori was shopping.(don't like shopping) Looks like the British style breakfast with sausage & eggs was the favorite here.
Restaurants were nice along front

Favorite Thing:
This resort is very popular with families and older people and is package holiday heaven. There is not many nice sights here apart from the Plaza de la Constitucion. It has a church and bars and is nice as they have outdoor seating. The streets around here are quite pleasant too. Some of them are car free and you can sit and eat a nice meal in peace.I had a nice meal along one street and really enjoyed it.
The hotel we stayed in was crap.We payed £450 per person and expected it to be really nice. Los Piramides was basic and not worth the money. The rooms were really basic and the food was rubbish. They served jelly and ice cream for dessert every night and nothing else. The buffet food was rubbish.
Saturday Market
by diageva
I love Saturday Market, as many many people. The whole Fair Recint, at the centre of Fuengirola, gets full of a market of second hand things, very curious things. Its a very good one. From 9 to 2.
For going there you can take the bus and just get down where everybody does or take the train and stop at "Los Boliches" stop, that leave you very near (just follow the people) or ask for "Market" or "Mercaillo" or "Recinto Ferial" .
