Where to sleep
by diageva
Some people comes in summer and sleeps in the beach:)) ... but for better place you can go to an economic hostal (that are many, all good situated and clean) or to an hotel.
Many hotels close for some months in winter for renovation, others close all winter, from November to February.
In summer is dificult to get place in an hotel with good price, because Fuengirola is full of people in Agust.
Bullfights at Mijas or Benelmadena
by angelab_nyc
I did not take in a bullfight, but many do. It is a personal preference. Tickets can sell out for most events. The more expensive tickets are lower seats in the shade...uppers and seats in the sun, are less expensive. Regardless of your opinion , it is something unique to Spain, for those that are interested.
chocolate and churros... what more could you want!

the costa del sol cafe is fab! my most favourite things to eat are chocolate and churros, a bagel with jamon serrano and dolcelatte cheese, and a club sandwich that has a hole cut in the top for the yellow of your egg to poke through (how cute!) i do also like dipping my churros in my boyfriends egg even though it makes him mad! haha!they have a fantastic range of fresh juices here too. chocolate and churros
La Playa

The beaches at Fuengirola are wonderful! Actually, they are the only beaches I've been to in Spain, but I loved them and that's that.
The beach here was my first entry into the Mediterranean Sea, a sea that my distant ancestors fished in, swam in, sailed through, maybe even died in. There was an ancient sense of 'coming home' when I first entered the cold, and salty water. I could feel in my bones that I was somehow connecting with those who went before me, my ancestors who had been in the same water. Then, I also felt in my bones that the water was freezing (April) and got out to warm up in the sun. :)
Tuesday Market
by diageva
A very very popular between the tourist people is Tuesday Market. There you can find fresh fruit, vegetables and very cheep clothes ... I never have gone because at the morning, I am working. Its open from 9 to 2.
For going there you can take the bus and just get down where everybody does or take the train and stop at "Los Boliches" stop, that leave you very near (just follow the people) or ask for "Market" or "Mercaillo" or "Recinto Ferial" .
After you can have something to eat near, there are some restaurants, I love a very near pizseria you can find there (I will tell you the name)
