Travel Tips for Granada

La Alhambra!!!

the most...

by Neuras

La Alhambra!!!

the most incredible palace one can ever visit. Get a feel of the middle ages, the Muslim way!!! Those guys really knew how to make a place enjoyable and relaxing at the same time.

There is no way you can walk by its gardens and not feel relaxed, happy to have a moment there. The walls at La Alhambra are not just walls to make up the house. They are works of art themselves. The detail of the work is beautiful and impressive.

You better come here with time! There is plenty to see!

THAT'S ME AT THE FAR RIGHT, LOOKING UP! Nice to meet you, too!!

The Alhambra: Sala de los Abencerrajes

by Krystynn

The elaborate stucco work of the ceiling inside the Alhambra typifies the Nasrid Dynasty style of architecture.

The Sala de los Abencerrajes was built using only the simplest materials but it is nevertheless regarded as one of the most outstanding monuments of the period of Moorish occupation here in Granada.

Olive Trees

by keeweechic

Through the countryside you will see olive groves. Spain is known for producing more olives than another country and also consuming more than any other country. The traditional growing area is in the province of Granada. Some 1.3 million olive trees are found in Andalucia.

Great handbag shopping Part Two

by Senoritasmile about Salvador Bachiller

Sorry, I'm a handbag addict, what can I say! I'd not encountered this Spanish designer before and now I'm glad I have. Quality bags, leather, some canvass, some from different materials! wonderful shapes, sizes, ingenious............

Also some beautifully designer leather accessory drawers, lamp bases, portfolios.................. reasonably priced for good quality.

Granada - Recommended car hire

by amapola66

We have used a variety of car hire companies in the Granada region.
Some better than others (!)

Carjet, has so far been the best option (link below).
Friendly and efficient, reasonably priced and a very user friendly website!

They have an office very near the airport and another in the center of Granada city (I think near the bus station).

Recommended.
