Can you hire a car?

by lantana17

Is it possible to hire a driver to take you from Granada to Ronda?
And then hire a driver in Ronda to take you to Ronda to Seville?
How much do you think this would cost?
My family member who I am travelling with does not want to take the train, bus or rent a car.

You can hire chauffeur-driven cars or arrange this with a taxi company, see http://world-airport-transfer.com/airport-transfer.php?airport_transfer_city=Granada (doesn't have to be from the airport!). Also:

As to cost you will have to ask them for a quote but the distance Granada-Ronda-Seville is 308 km (182 + 126) so I would guess at least €300 and possibly up to €500.

The bus system is very easy, clean and better for views of the trip. Nothing like the American Greyhound. What ever it takes - Ronda is worth it.

Travel Tips for Granada

Visit the Alhambra! I took...

by MosaicKT

Visit the Alhambra! I took this picture while strolling the grounds. Most stunning to me was the juxtaposition of the intricacy of the mudejar architecture with the simplicity and serenity of the reflecting pools and the glorious natural setting!

EL PARTAL

by LoriPori

Part of the Nasrid Palaces is EL PARTAL. Also a beautiful Palace, it consists of the Palace Porche, Gardens ( Jardines Del Partal ), Rauda, Palace of Yusef III and Walkway of Towers. It also has a pool which gives a beautiful reflection of the Palace

Day 13 - Castuera - Campanario >> 19k

by into-thin-air

Another short but nice slightly undulating day, again walking on a mixture of quiet roads and earthen tracks through some pretty countryside.
No Facilities en-route, so make sure that you have a good breakfast before leaving in the morning and pack plenty of water as well as Supply of snacks.
As this was Good Friday we went straight to the Ayuntamiento in Campanario and they kindly arranged for us to be accommodated in their Sports hall. (Free of charge)
Lots of choice of restaurants for your evening meal but we opted for one quite close to the Sports hall which was on the edge of town.

Visit Guadix and La Calohorra Castle

by Carmela71

I spent there two days, but from Granada you can do day excursions to Guadix, as it is only one hour trip, and walk along this monumental city.

Also take the road again and visit Calahorra castle

For more information visit my Gaudix and La Calahorra pages

Driving

by Svitata

Getting to Granada is easy on the highway, but once you get into the city, it's hell! Roads are busy and sometimes streets are closed! Had to drive around for over an hour to find a parking space near the Alhambra, and the parking space is so bloody tight!!
My advice is to take the train and spend at least a night in Granada to really enjoy the city.
