For somewhere to stay have a look at www.booking.com and www.venere.com, both reliable sites with honest guest reviews and good rates.

For hostels, look at www.hostelworld.com and www.hostelbookers.com

Can't help with left luggage, sorry, although in Europe wherever you have stayed the night before will usually store your bags for you. there is a left luggage office at the Alhambra:

Travel Tips for Granada

no way to get breakfast at lunch time!

by Shibiru

If you try to get a coffee and some croissants at about 12o'clock, in a cafe outside the tourist center, you will be disappointed. I can't understand that, because actually, the Spanish folk wakes up very late and is used to late breakfast. Well...this time we had some shrimps for breakfast...why not?

However if you do want to pay....

by blint

If you want to see ever part of the Alhambra then it will cost you 10 euros. For over 65's It is 7 euros and if you just want to see the gardens 5 euros. For children up to 8 years old it's free (good new for parents).

Remember you can get morning or afternoon tickets so make sure you turn up at the correct time!!!!

Get a map of Granada before arriving!

by oceania26

If you're arriving in Granada from another Andalucian city make sure to go to to the Andalucia tourist office and pick up a free map for Granada BEFORE arriving to Granada just to make your life easier!

It's a really good map and it will be very easy to navigate the Albacin with this map -- forget the guidebook maps - they are pretty useless. The bus and train station are not near the albacin or the city centre and there are no maps or tourist info nearby to help.

Salsa dancing

by Christina1881

Salsero Mayor is a Salsa-club where they play salsa-merengue and where loads of people come to dance exactly thoese to dances.
From 9-11 every night there are Salsaclasses, which is really funny... but if you dont wanna go to a class you can just arrive after 11 and enjoy the fantastic rythems and speak with foreigners and Spanish people!

Calle Elviria

by Carmela71 about Lots of pubs till 5.00 am

Normally they are outside the street offering you free shots, and also every time we asked for a drink we got a free shot lol (at the end we got the speciality of the house lol, but I do not remember what it was hehehehe)
