Great location in Granada
Used to be called the Hotel Residencia Macia, but is now called the Macia Plaza.
Right on the busy Plaza Neuva square, this hotel is a taxi ride away from the train station (We paid 5 Euros). Excellent location, lots of restaurants in the square, a bit of nightlife and the bus to the Alahambra stops right outside the hotel.
Beds were clean, so were the bathrooms. Rooms were not very spacious, but for the location and price, this hotel cannot be beat. We paid 60 Euros for a room facing the square. It can get a bit noisy at night, so if you want to avoid the noise, ask for a quiet room at the back of the hotel.
Unique Quality: Convenient access to the Alahambra. You can either take the bus that leaves from the square (opp the hotel) or walk the 1/2 km.
Other Granada sights like the Cathedral are also a few minutes walking from the hotel.

On The Plaza
Single on the main square only around 40 E bath and TV - cheap buffet breakfast - bang in the middle - for cheaper pensions quite a few on the hill up to the Alhambra just opposite.
Unique Quality: Many cafes/bars with seats outside just at your door. Front rooms overlook square, though the receptionist said these would be quite noisy as people meet and party into the night outside. Not a problem of course if you are one of these people.
