Cheap and good

I've spent one night in this hotel in August with a friend. The hotel is located in the very centre of Granada on the main square (but you enter from a little street). We had a room with a balcony on the square with a great view on the hill. The room was big enough and very clean, with a sink and towels. The bathroom was shared and very clean too.
The only problem can be the noise from the street if you have a room on the square, but you can ask to have one on the back, however you will not enjoy the view. In the room there was also a big fan that we didn´t have to use even if it was August, because there was plenty of air in the room. It´s a quiet hotel, so don´t go there if you want to make party.
But if you look for a place in the centre, close to all monuments and night life, clean and cheap, this is your place. Just in front, walking 5 minutes, there is the street where there are all the bars where the locals go for the free tapas (Remember, you ask for a drink you get also a sandwich included), and clubs.
At the reception they have been very nice providing all the informations we were asking and always on the mood to have a chat. You can buy there drinks and water from a machine. No breakfast.
With lift.

Unique Quality: Great location close to all monuments and night life.

Very nice hostel with a great location!

Hostal Britz was located at the base of the hill to the famous Alhambra right next to a small plaza/square.

The rooms were very clean and ours looked to be "brand new."

The woman who was at the desk for our entire stay spoke no English, but was very friendly and patient with my high school level Spanish. She was very helpful with her suggestions.

I don't recall the rooms being very expensive. My girlfriend and I were on a pretty tight budget at the time and I don't remember complaining about the price of the room.

Unique Quality: Very clean, fantastic location, relatively quiet.

Close to the Alhambra

Basic, inexpensive accomodation.

Unique Quality: We easily walked to the Alhambra, it was also close to the main square. Restaurants and shopping close by.

Hostal Britz

6000 pts / night for an offseason triple.

Unique Quality: The rooms are nice, practically luxurious, and the price is great. On the other hand, make sure that your room does not face out onto the street. You will get no sleep whatsoever, as Granada parties well into the night. On the other hand, if that's your bag, go ahead. I was sick with food poisoning and so didn't really feel like partying. Instead I was up all night long. Oh well...
