The hotel has an inviting pool......but the water was a bit cold in October :-/. However it was a pleasant place to longe with a book in the late afterenoon sunshine after a walk and enjoy the mountain views around.
Complex of 'casitas' (split level litle spanish houses) Like self-catering accomodation but on a half-board basis. Also lovely pool with view of the mountains.
i chose here and though it was a bit pricey it was worth it for the view and the ambience, its builts in layers down a hill with good use of stone for the steps and various levels that the complex encompasses. free internet too! parking was difficult as the town was very busy and lots of traffic on the road - the hotel is in a one way system so i ended up going around the town several times - free carpark just up the hill though though i was a bit worried about security up there but the reception staff assured me that my car would be fine. the hotel looks over to a moorish castle - it took a bit of a walk through the streets to get 'just across the road' to it but it was a nice morning for a walk. tea and coffee making was in the room too - with kitchenette - chance to have groceries that might need a fridge or cool some of the local wine you have picked up along the way!
nice and very clean, loads of character but modern, nice views over the valley and castle, nice and obliging reception staff, free internet! a kitchenette with tea and coffee making - just like back home! put your feet up with a cup of tea! mountain bikes can also be hired, and assistance with horse riding, walks and rock climbing around the area.
