Hostal Los Pinos: Nice and inexpensive hostal
It's really cheap, we payed 42 euros per day per room for a quite big room with a double bed and anothe bed, a privat bathroom and a little balcony over a woderful little garden full of colorful flowers. Bathroom was very clear but perhaps the forniture wasn't so new ;)
You must pay with cash but also at the end of your stay.
They also own a little nice restaurant, in the same place. We ate there a couple of times and really enjoyed the food, try it! (see my tip about restaurants)
Unique Quality: It's cheap and well located on a quite road, very confortable to reach many places like Vejer, canos, trafalgar, and many beaches.

Hotel Madreselva: Caños de Meca - Hotel Madreselva
This hotel and location was a three day stay in our last Andalucia tour. We used this days to take a rest at the beach, near the Trafalgar Lighthouse (Cabo the Trafalgar). Since this part of Andalucia is not very much covered with high skyscrapeing hotel buildings we chose the Hotel Madreselva - there are not too many other hotels. The setting allowed us to reach the beach within a few foot steps across the small street. The hotel itself has a pool, aproximately 15 rooms, each with a small patio (a little place of your own surrounded by walls you cannot overlook and a table and chair). The staff is very friendly, and some can even speak english...
Unique Quality: The hotel is quite simple but clean. Walls are, like often in Spain, very thin, and any kind of air conditioning quite helpful... breakfast was small and simple, but the setting made up for everything...
