Not a nice picture. This is the first time I've seen a picture of me with an obvious spare tyre round the middle. Since my knee injury, I was aware I'd piled the pounds (/kilos) on but not this much. Nice spot, though.

How do we get from the Cruiseport in Malaga to Marbella? We have plenty of time, so public transportation is okay. Bus would be our preference, but rail is ok also. Also, what is the cost per person? Thanks in advance
The largest bus company in Malaga Province is called PORTILLO.
I think it is best to take a bus from the main bus station at Malaga which is on the north side of the main rail station called Maria Zambrano.
PORTILLO do a bus schedule on their web site :
http://www.ctsa-portillo.com/
They run a diret bus in under one hour or a slightly longer one. You can look at cost on
http://www.avanzabus.com/web/?lang=en
The rail line stops at Fuengirola so bus is the only option.
At Marbella bus terminal you take a local taxi to your final destination.
Getting to the bus terminal in Malaga is also best done by taxi unless there is a transfer bus to the main railway station / bus terminal.
Portillo Bus is the best option. Get the bus at the main bus station in Malaga and get a ticket for Marbella. The bus station in Marbella is just off the Main highway which means you will either have to walk to your destination in town or take a taxi. We took the bus (in February) from Torremolinos to Marbella and the cost was 3,70 Euro so that gives you an idea what the fare will be, probably around 4 Euros.
Thank you very much, Puerto Lover and LoriPori. We'll take the bus.

we were on the look out for a cheap tapas bar and my friend who lives in Malaga remembered this little joint. It was full of older locals also the smell of kitchen fat, but often these places can in fact offer you the best quality tapas so I thought ¿Por qué no?
The warning bells rang when I saw no prices listed on the menu but as I thought my friend had been here before and we were looking for a cheap place I went with the flow.
The waiter came over and seemed really friendly and talkative. He recommended us something and even said if we didn't like it we could give it back. Small battered fish rolls arrived they were OK so we ate them. Then we ordered a Crestita with a spicy burger and maybe something else. I think the waiter even 'gave' us something else we hadn't ordered saying here try this.
We were shocked to ask for the bill and find it came to 18 euros for 3 people. You have to remember we were just ordering tapas and not a main meal. They didn't even show us a bill.
For a greesy little tapas joint 18 euros is a lot for two or three tapas and beers. Especially when I consider the quality and size of the things we were given. The Bartolo's (battered fish rolls) were the size of my little finger and they only gave us 3!!! Trust me when I say my little finger is very little indeed!
It just goes to show it doesn't matter is you are foreign or Spanish, many bars here are just out to rip you off if you aren't from Malaga. Well I shouldn't say many, but some. Furthermore never trust a bar that doesn't display their prices and last but not least don't even trust your friends hehehe.
To sum up: DON'T COME HERE
