A bit of help, please? :)
by ioana2919
Ok so I`m going to visit Malaga for a week, and I`m staying in Barcelo Marbella Hotel. Could you please give me some directions regarding clothing stores (like Zara, Stradivarius, Pull and Bear, Bershka, etc) surrounding the hotel, or how can I get there by bus or something like that? Thank you so much :)

A great place for shopping is Plaza Mayor, which you can easily get to by train as it has its own stop. There are over 50 shops, a huge cinema and many restaurants. Here is a link to Plaza Mayor you might find interesting.

ioana- do you mean that you are visiting Malaga Province and staying in the Barcelo Marbella hotel which is located in the exclusive Guadalmina area, in the heart of the Costa del Sol, is near to magnificent sunny beaches and exceptional leisure and entertainment facilities in Puerto Banús.
Or the Barcelo above the train station in Malaga City ?
Thanks everyone for all your help!

Travel Tips for Málaga
Open your eyes and your mind even more!
by JennEph
I would take someone to the beach and spend the day walking up and down it...the beaches are beautiful! My favorite thing about Málaga is that everyone (natives) have told me the same thing: "If you can learn to speak Spanish here, you can speak it anywhere"...and they´re right!
Tapas
by RAINBOWWINGS
Tapas...those great little plates of food served at the side of a drink. The word "tapa" comes from th old, old days of when a local would go in an old bar, order his glass of wine or beer, and to keep the flies off, the barman would place, normally, a slice of chorizo or salchichon ontop of the glass to cover it (Tapar:to cover) Sadly this free offer of tapas hardly exists anymore in Malaga especially in the tourist areas. Lots of surrounding villages still carry on the tradition, but dont expect it everywhere. Its still widely practiced in Granada tho!
THE TOWN AT THE EDGE OF THE GORGE
by ALSAGOFF
We went to Ronda on a day package tour with our resort. It cost 44 euros with lunch included. We took the bus then transferred to the old train ride which was built in 1890s for Gibraltar's garrison officers.
A 100m-deep gorge, El Tajo separates the old town and the new town. The gorge is spanned by three bridges dating from different historical periods: Roman, Moorish and 18th century.
Shopping and eating near the stations
by milugares
Centro Comercial Larios (Eroski)
Clothes and gift shops, some fast food and local restaurants and a Eroski supermarket are located in these galleries, just 2 minutes from the coach station (or 5 from the train station).
Really handy if you have to make a short connecting stop in Malaga - or if you miss your bus and must wait for the next one. LOL
Listen for the People!
by sleepingwolf about Gorki
We stubbled on the the Gorki Wine bar working our way down alleys winding out from Plaza del Obisbo (in front of the Cathedral). The placed was packed with warm and smiling people. We spent hours there our first night in malaga and found a wine we fell in love with as well as made friends from three other countries.
Questions and Answers
Q: Traffic in May "Is the tourist traffic density high during the first two weeks of May? Will the weather turn warm during the same time?"
A: "The traffic in Malaga is heavy at any time of year. It has that typical European city problem of many fairly narrow streets, packed with far too many cars. The modern..."
