There will be 2 of us visiting Malaga in March 09 and we would like to have a private room (shared bath ok). Can anyone recommend a good place to stay? We will arrive and leave by train.
Last time I were in Malag I stayed in Room Mate Larios , it is quite nice , in Larios street and in the Malaga centre

Buen viaje
Benalmadena is a place where British and Finnish pensioners move to. There still lives locals. It is a great place to meet locals. They are very friendly and conversation is guaranteed although there wouldn't be a common language.

The thing that really surprised us about the nightlife in Málaga was, when we asked our cab driver to take us to the hotspot in town, that he dropped us on one of the main squares in the center. We couldn´t see any big discotheques or anything although we did see some nice looking bars, but they were fairly empty. We decided to walk around a bit and when we returned a half hour later the square was completely filled with young people, just hanging around. Every group had a plastic bag with them which contained the liquor and a bottle of coke or some other soda. These bottles were mixed and everyone stood there, socializing away and drinking with their friends, while looking at other guys and girls.
For us this was very weird, but extremely enjoyable. At 1 o´clock in the morning the crowd dispersed itself and disappeared into the various bars and clubs in town. Whatever you want, but remember: this is about seeing and being seen.
