Any free car parking near Malaga airport

by xazy

I am intending to leave my old car near Malaga airport for one month. Can somebody please tell me if there is a free parking anywhere near the airport. Cheers

Re: Any free car parking near Malaga airport

by daarth

I very much doubt you will find anything free. There are however many companies that offer long-term parking, and be sure to "shop around" as the prices can vary much. We used to use Parkingsol, but it is some time ago now so I can't recommend them any more. A google search will give you many to choose between

Travel Tips for Málaga

Horse Carriage Tours

by hquittner

This is a big thing in New Orleans where we hail from. We have never taken one since we have not had small grandchildren with us, But if you have the time (and the money) that is the good life. (We have by-passed gondolas too for the same reasons). Apparently the best place to hire one is alongside the South side of the Cathedral (nicknamed theHorseman's Door?)

WESTERN COAST

by Carmela71

The best known part of COSTA DEL SOL. Since the 1960s have been developed several modern centers of tourism, which contrast the original white villages of this region.

TORREMOLINOS 12 kilometers from Malaga, is an example for that. In its center of town you'll find today modern hotels, boutiques, pubs and discotheques for every taste. TOO CROWDED A NON RECOMENDATION... BUT CHEAP .... FOR ACCOMODATION....

BENALMADENA , 29 kilometers from Malaga. THE VILLAGE AND THE COAST IS GREAT.....

FUENGIROLA has a wide and most beautiful beach to offer. And a fantastic festival on the 12 of October.

ESTEPONA, 20 kilometers from Marbella, another small fishing village that conserves the original character extraordinarily well in its center.

Are debit cards allowed for Malaga car hire?

by Eezi

Although that it is true that many online booking facilities allow payments per debitcard, fact is that most car hire companies request to be paid by a valid credit card which must be issued on the name of the driver in most cases.

One of the reasons, as commented before, is that they can make automatic additional charges if necessary and another important reason is that the companies try to avoid that their staff needs to handle or keep a lot of cash at the counters. You will find that most companies do not accept cash payments, although some of the major online car rental brokers, like www.hispacar.com might be able to help you out and redirect you to one of the few car hire companies at malaga airport wo do allow debit cards or cash paments.

Wide range of unusual tapas

by Senoritasmile about Gorkis

This is a tapas bar in the centre of Malaga, 2 mins walk from the Cathedral. The menu is extensive and includes some weird combinations - eg anchovies and condensed milk on toast....actually nicer than it sounds! The wine list is also huge, as are the glasses they serve it in. This is a great bar where you can people watch in the summer and huddle in cosy interior in the winter.
