Very good location. We were able to walk to everything: picasso museo, cathedral..etc. The beach is a 2 min walk. Rooms were comfy. Looks like the hotel is a little bit older. I think the price was a little bit high for what you get.
We stayed at the Hotel Las Vegas (which happened to be accross from the Hotal California, which also looked nice). I "splurged" on a hotel rather than hostel since it was my fiance's first trip abroad and I didn't know if he could "rough" it. Anyway, the hotel was clean, located less than 5 minutes walk from the beach, grocery stores, restaurants and shopping, as well as Castllo de Gilbralfaro.
Unique Quality: No really unique qualities. I would request a room facing the water next trip. We would have changed but spent so little time in the room anyway that we didn't want to waste precious water watching and sightseeing moments packing and re-unpacking. As you can see from the photo, we like to make ourselves at home.
