Cost more or less taxi from airport to center?

by philosykos

Whats the cost these days from airport to center by taxi?My friend has a bad back and would like to avoid bus etc.dragging cases around.Thxs!

Re: Cost more or less taxi from airport to center?

by LoriPori

In February, we paid 20 Euros for a taxi to take us from the airport to our apartment in Torremolinos. So I would say 15 Euros would be about right to the center of Malaga.

Re: Cost more or less taxi from airport to center?

Thankyou..is Torremolinos closer to airport than Malaga center?Thats impression I had.If so would be other way round..20 to center correct?

Re: Cost more or less taxi from airport to center?

Thankyou..I remember like 4 or 5 years agpo paying around 20 euros..from El Palo to airport..I am surprised it has not gone up much.

Re: Cost more or less taxi from airport to center?

You may be right about that. It takes about 20 minutes by taxi to Torremolinos and it's mostly highway driving, hardly any traffic which you would get more of going to the Center. So it could be 20 Euros there too.

Its about €20 or 25 depending on the final location - Malaga is quite a big city.
There is a tariff I think at the taxi stand so it should be all according to the tariff as this is regulated and driver should have meter running. There is a local taxi tariff on here

http://www.taxi-union.es/

but have not looked for Airport run. There are two tariffs according to the time of day etc.
Of course like all airports the taxis have a standing charge fixed just for picking up at the airport.

The exit from Malaga airport these days is from TERMINAL 3 which is the new one opened a few weeks back. When you exit you find taxis on the right side. And straight ahead is the new fast airport bus to the centre. That only costs €2 and is better designed for storage of luggage etc. So a short walk to the airport bus and then it depends exactly where your friend need to finish.

Eating time

by Helga67

In Málaga, as in the rest of Spain, meals are usually eaten later than in some other European countries.

Breakfast: between 9 and 11 am.
Lunch: between 2 and 3 pm
Dinner: between 9 and 10 pm.

In the meantime you can eat tapas or taste the very good looking icecream!.

UP CLOSE & PERSONAL WITH EL TAJO

by ALSAGOFF

This is your reward after climbing down and navigating through sharp tunnels and slippery, steep steps. You can even get out of the tunnel onto a steel barricade that lets you literally stand over the river - one of the most awesome yet extremely safe experiences of my life -yeah, i'm chicken sh#$ when it comes to water and heights! :)

Enjoy the cool sprays of the water too!

From Madrid to Malga by train

by Danalia

All trains to Malaga depart from Madrid’s main train station: Atocha. The trains company calls AVE The prices goes between €73.60 and €81.80 per person, one way.
If you have time and you are not in a rush then train travel for few hours can be nice and relaxing.
Have a strong coffee at the train Cafeteria and a small bocadillo con queso, find friendly people to talk too, and enjoy the road.

WHERE"S ANTONIO????

by LoriPori about La Posada de Antonio

An Andalucian tradition, you must sample some tapas at LA POSADA DE ANTONIO. It is a restaurant that Antonio Banderas bought and is part of a chain all over the Costa Del Sol. Along with its specialty of grilled meats, are the different little tapas which we sampled. TAPAS are small portions of different dishes. Thanks to Carmen, I can tell you what tapas ( little dishes ) we sampled.
Churascos --- Grilled Sausage
Berenejenas Con Miel --- Eggplants with Honey ( my favourite )
Patatas a La Brave --- Potatoes in a spice sauce
Croquetas --- Fried meat-filled croquette
