Cheap 7 seater hire in Malaga
Hi,
We are going to Malaga on July 11th for 2 weeks and need to hire a 7 seater people carrier.
Can anyone suggest somewhere to hire one as everywhere I have looked is ridiculously expensive?

Last year I went to Europe for a month and was also looking for a 7-seater and found the prices exhorbitant. If you need a 7 -seater only for travelling here and there along the Costal del Sol during your vacation, I suggest you look into those cars where there is 3-seater in the trunk that you can lift up. This leaves little room in the trunk but is comfortable enough for 7 passengers and will end up costing you less than half the price for a regular 7-seater. We went all over the place that way and had no problem.

Its going to be difficult to find what we need without paying huge for it.
Its 6 adults and a 6 year old.
If anyone has any suggestions on certain companies that would be great.

Try a model like Opel Zafira or any other models listed as 5+2 places and then shop around. It is considered a basic model unlike Renault Grand Espace or Dodge Voyager which will cost you a fortune. I know that Avis , for one, has them. I paid something like 750 euros last year for 22 days in mid-July-August. I remember shopping around a bit and found that deal directly with Avis, France

I normally book this kind of cars on my trip to Malaga and Alicante, and already booked an Opel Zafira (we are always 5 travelling but like to have space in the car for our luggage) for next August, 2 weeks for 350€ so July will be more or less the same i think! We've just got back from Malaga. We hired a 7-seater Peugeot 807 from Auriga Crown, based at the airport, for just over £120 for 12 days. Because less tourists are visiting at the moment, it's quite easy to get an upgrade if you choose a smaller car.
Travel Tips for Málaga
Hike on Monte de Gibralfaro - Málaga views
Málaga is a very vivid city - if you want to escape a bit, and have a good view of the city, it's monuments, cathedrals and much more.
The hike to Gibralfaro leads behind the Alcazaba (the fortress), first with a magnificent view on the fortess itself, along bougainvilleas, then through nice pine forest.
On the hilltop, the road leads south - just follow the signs for Parador de Málaga Gibralfaro.
Although this Parador is a Hotel, it has a huge area, and you can even escape from the people there - or have coffee or refreshment on it's terrace.
Going out
One of the best places to have a drink and tapas in Málaga. Good music and traditional decoration. Very good place to start to spend a good evening.

Train from Airport to Fuengirola
The Cercanias train pass through the airport in his trip from Malaga to Fuengirola, stopping in Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Arroyo de la Miel and Fuengirola.
In Fuengirola you can take buses to other places.
To get the the train from airport....
Arrivals are in ground floor so take the lift to Departures First floor and go out from airport.
There is a path that takes you direct to trains station. You can take your trolly and leave it near, but you will have to lift your luggage the stairs up. (at least it was like that the last time I used it)
For Fuengirola stay in the first side, if you go to Malaga cross to the other side
Trains are every half an hour until 11.30 if i am not wrong
Tapas with a twist
Great tapas bar with friendly staff and 'different' tapas. It has a funky interior and a good atmosphere. We had the morcilla with apple, which comes in a jar, you then spread it on crispbread - and octopus with potatoes in a spice sauce -very tasty!
