Charity Event. PLEASE HELP

by madmatthewd

Hey Guys,

Myself and a fellow Student from Bristol Uni (Uk), are taking part in a chairty event on 6th Dec, called Jailbreak. The aim of the event is to travel as far from the Uni as possible in 36 hours. The twist being, we are not allowed to spend any money on Accomodation,Transport,Food and drink.

So far we have been donated free tickets to the aiport, and free flights to malaga... So now we are looking for accomodation!
We have emailed pretty much every hotel, and i am looking at emailing Youth Hostels, but am having issues finding there email addresses!

So the questions i have are,

Is it possible to Walk from the airport, to the city Center, and if so , how long would this take?
And,

Does anybody have any suggestions as to where i could stay!?

Thanks in Advice for looking at this, and any help/suggestions you may have..

Oh, and further information can be found on, www.justgiving.com/matthew-deadman

Cheers!

Have you thought of coachsurfing for accommodation? http://www.couchsurfing.org/

Given your conditions, you can walk into the city center from the airport..

I took the airport bus from the city and I remember that the ride was not that long, may be less than half an hour..

Have a great JailBreak....

Travel Tips for Málaga

visit and enjoy new "calle larios"

by cbeaujean

since beginning of december 2002,calle larios (=main street) was totally refurbished!
becoming awfully pedestrian...it looks very well,promising...
in the meantime, consti plaza (constitution square) has rediscovered its lustre of yesteryear, the original fountain included! strolling in the illuminated larios is a must!...and an excellent way to share with its inhabitants real malaga life, especially after 8pm!

UNICAJA: The kings of basket in Spain.

by lina112

Ohhhhh yes Málaga is very proud to have the champions of basketball league 05-06 and this team is UNICAJA. They are the best team of basket in Spain and one of the best of Europe, the won the Korac cup 3 years ago and the spanish cup last year. They have played the Euroleague for the last 2 years, and they will for the next 3 years. One of their player Jorge Garbajosa is in the NBA, playing on Toronto Raptors.c*

Knobs and Knockers

by Senoritasmile about Ferreteria El Metro

Seriously folks, you will be overwhelmed by the array of door and drawer accessories available here, from sleek and modern to charactful antique. If you're renovating here in Spain or looking for something to brighten up a tired chest-of-drawers back home, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Renfe

Another option to get Malaga is by train. There are train services from main Spanish cities. If you go to Torremolinos, Fuengirola or Malaga airport, you can take the local train or cercanias.

Disappointing - twice!!!

by Senoritasmile about La Posada de Antonio

The only reason I went here a second time was the blind hope that I might catch a glimpse of Antonio ; -). I have eaten here for lunch with friends and then dinner on another occasion. The service is poor - staff are far more interested in chatting amongst themselves and it was difficult to catch their attention. Food was luke warm and some dishes, very mediocre in everyway. I will not be returning.
