Flamenco and Velez-Malaga

by Savl1

I have 2 questions:

1) Where I can see flamenco in Malaga ?

2) How to get to Velez-Malaga (from Malaga) by public transpory (bus) ?

Thank you !

Re: Flamenco and Velez-Malaga

by Savl1

pedmar, thanks about Flamenco but I have a problem with www.estabus.emtsam.es. I write Malaga (from) and Velez-Malaga (Dest.) but after "search" I see only 1 line:

15:50 01:00 ACTUALIZANDOSE PINCHE EN EMPRESA 39 ALSINA GRAELLS SUR, S.A.

I think there are more than 1 bus from Malaga to Velez-Malaga. What is my mistake ?

Travel Tips for Málaga

Málaga has its charme, ¡"en serio"!

by Jitka_79

Okay, I `ve been staying here in Málaga for more than two months, and finally I like it. I had to become accostumed to many things like the dirt or the noise, but when you walk through the city without tourist`s eyes you may discover charming places like the the area around the cathedral.

Semana Santa (Easter)

by hquittner

We visited Malaga during the days before Easter but unfortunately were not taken (there or in Seville) to watch the celebrations (too crowded for tourists or what?) Unlike the floats in a Mardi Gras these are man carried instead of on wheels. Note the long carrying bars! They must weigh plenty! Tons of flowers and other decorative materials are added and many carved statues and effigies from the churches. In the Paeo and the Alameda chairs and stands are erected for the upper classes.

Mijas
is a picturesque and typical Andalusian village and is 20 minutes drive from Malaga. It is a small town with Muslim origin situated on a hill. It is pretty with narrow streets, views of the coasts, and whitewashed houses. Lotsa souvenirs shops and places to eat. I think the souvenirs are the cheapest and they also have souvenirs for Cordoba, Granada, Malaga, Sevilla. Cheaper than buying from those cities.

It's a Hike to find the Bus Station!

by Geoff_Wright

If you arrive in malaga by the local train, you will arrive about ten minutes' walk from the bus station. Exit the station (from under ground(, and walk away from the main street, past the Post Office building, which sits on top of the Station. Walk down the Avenida De La Aurora, and at the first roundabout turn left into Cjnes Del Perchel. Walk straight on passing the next roundabout, to your left. Keep walking and look for a modern red bricked building, which is the bus station.

SABROSO!!!!

by Malecka

La Campana, and also all the Chiringuitos located on the beach, where they serve amazing sea-food!!! Spanish people have great food, and what’s more important, they really pay attention to the way they enjoy it. CALAMARITOS and of course, Gambas a la plancha
