Beach-walking

I stayed twice in this hotel. The first time was October 2010 for one Week after a bustour around Andalucia. When i arrived i had to wait 15 minutes in the bar where i was served a free drink. The room i got was in the main-building and i was thrilled with it. The Terrace was massive with table, chairs, sunbeds and umbrella on it.Fantastic view.It was above the restaurant but only in the evening you could hear people moving chairs .In that time i was there i didnt hear no loud music on the pool and no music or noise in the evening. The long, long beach was amazing to walk every day.I was happy enough with the food what was a buffet for breakfast and lunch. There was allways something nice freh cooked in front of you.
The second time i went was in the end of April 2011 and i didnt get a room with a massive Terrace, only a small balcony where the sun would only be a tiny bit. It didnt matter too much as it was raining nearly for the whole week i was there. The food wasnt as good either and sometimes it was gone in 15 minutes because there where groups coming in with about 80 people and they ate everything so the other hotelguest had to wait. this time my room was over the bar and it was noisy and the smoke from cigarettes came straight into my room. So, i dont think i will go again, i think i was lucky the first time and i knew it, everything just perfect.

Unique Quality: the beach was the best, fantastic for walking.

Great Beachresort

I stayed in this Hotel twice. First time i stayed in October and i got a fantastic Room with massive Balcony. The food was okay. The best was just the beach, you can walk for hours and it wasnt croweded anymore because it was the end of the Season. When i was there in the End of April it was a different Story. My room was fine but Balcony was small and it didnt get much sun.But that didnt matter as it was raining nearly all the time and it was pretty cold and windy too. The food wasnt great either.

Hiya- I don't know the resort but I found the location on Google Maps ! If you put this address in the search box :

Urbanización Pinomar, 29604, Marbella, Spain

it shows the location. Its not far from the main road running along the coast (The map on this web site VT shows the hotel in wrong location)

On this main road there may well be places to eat. And I am sure that there would be other places in the vicinity.

I also found these on looking at Google:

hi, the adress of the hotel is Carretera De Cadiz !! thanks:)

Re: LTI Marbella Playa hotel

Thank you very much:) I'm glad that there are other restaurants because in the reviews i read the hotel is very isolated and you need a car to go places as there is no shuttelbus from the hotel.

I think that your hotel is this one:

http://www.lti.de/cms/website.php?id=/en/hotels/lti_marbella_playa.htm

if so it is situated east of Marbella along the coast and as you say it is quite 'isolated'. Well not that isolated because it is about 9 kms to the centre of Marbella old town and about 19 kms to the famous Puerto Banus marina.

The name of the long road that runs from Malaga to Cadiz used to be called and still is called for many people the Carretera Malaga-Cadiz. On the hotel owner's web site they just say the address is Nacional 340, 29600 Marbella, Málaga, Spain. Nacional 340 is the famous original coastal highway that is effectively the Malaga-Cadiz Carretera.

As I mentioned above, the Google map can show you the location if you want.
I wonder if the hotel do organise any transport into Marbella town. The web site of the lti says:
# Transfer: Shuttlebus to the centre (for free)
# Closest town: Marbella (approx. 9 km away)
# Closest bus stop: approx. 9 km away

What i read in reviews people say that there is no shuttlebus but a bus-station 5-15 min away from the hotel. Yes i have googled the hotel and i think when i go along the beach i will pass some little restaurants. As i work as a cook i am so looking forwards of tasting food i didnt cook:) thanks for your help.Barbara
