Wonderful hotel by the sea

The Puente Romano is a great hotel by the sea on the way from Marbella town to Puerto Banus. I really love this hotel. There is the hotel itself , with rooms and suites and in the same area there are private apartments for rent in the summer.

The hotel rooms are surrrounded by lush tropical gardens, small lakes with fishes, frogs and swans. The gardens are just lovely! There are several swimming pools and restaurants. There is Roberto, an italian restaurant, the Beach Club, the La Plaza and several bars that serve meals as well. The best restaurant, in my opinion is the Beach Club, where the buffet lunch is delicious.

Rooms and suites are spacious, nicely decorated and with all the amenities. The suites are huge, specially the ones facing the sea, with large balconies where one can have a delicious breakfast overlooking the Mediterranean.

The private beach is also very nice, with lounge chairs and a good service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a stay in Marbella!

Costa Del Sol Best Spot

Hotel Puente Romano is a magnificent ***** hotel which has a magnificent location close to Marbella. It looks like a magnificent, traditional Andalucian village

It got completed in 1979 and the name got taken by the Roman Bridge (meaning Puente Romano) , the heart of the hotel.

We had a wonderfull stay at the Hotel Puente Romano, and enjoyed all facilities and serves. Not far away of the beach where the blue ocean reached out for Africa ...

Unique Quality: Hotel Puente Romano has wonderful individually appointed rooms and suites (all private terrace), very beautifully and all stylishly decorated. You can enjoy some superb sports and leisure facilities. And enjoy the high standards of Mediterranean and international cuisine ...

The garden was an excellent area to photograph (especially fashion), just like the tennis courts, the fitness centre, swimming pool and golf courses.

Early in the morning I prepared the models on the private terrace, enjoying the colour television with satellite channels, and the music ... and the brilliant view!

HOTEL PUENTE ROMANO 5 STARS grand luxe

Well if you can afford it, I recomend it lol, situated between Marbella and Puerto Banus, in front of the mosque.

The traditional Andalusian architecture of the hotel, the sub-tropical gardens, fountains, brooks, waterfalls and palm trees - all by the blue Mediterranean waters - make it a truly unforgettable one.

Unique Quality: 192,00 euros the double one up to 1.270,00 euros the Imperial suite ...

More about Puente Romano Hotel

A sweet lady in beautiful Gardens in Puente Romano

by Waalewiener

This wonderful place we visited with Carmen (Carmela71) is called Puente Romano,it is located on the '' Golden Mile " as it is called near Marbella, there is a 5 star Hotel Puente Romano and there are fantastic gardens here ( Jardin Japones).
This is a must see area it is fantastic.

Best buffet lunch!

by tere1 about Beach Club at Puente Romano

This restaurant at the Puente Romano Hotel, besides its fabulous location, in an open air setting, surrounded by tropical plants and palm trees and facing the beach, has delicious food. They serve a large buffet at lunch time. There is a table of salads and cold appetizers, lobster, shrimps, calamari and there is also a barbecue, where you choose the fresh different fish , squid and meats ( filet mignon, veal, lamb chops, etc) which the two chefs grill for you at the moment.
The table of desserts and different kinds of cheese is also a real temptation and a feast to the eyes! It's a bit expensive but well worth the money !

I have not stayed at this hotel but know people who have stayed here and who have said it is very nice, but quite a distance from Marbella old town. if you look at the Tripadvisor site the reviews are not that good. When I have stayed in Marbella I have stayed in the El Fuerte which is fantastic and in a much better location, right in the heart of Marbella and just opposite a lovely beach. When you visit don't forget to check out Puerto Banus, it's great for people watching.

Puente Romano is a great luxurious 5 stars, but I agree with the previous one, is middle way between Marbella and Puerto Banus, so you will depend on a rental car or public transport. Hotel el Fuerte is four stars, close to the beach and city center (also they ahve another hotel close to this one that is spa called Spa miramar from the same chain).

Puente Romano is a lovely one, but if you do not want to depend on a car, I would suggest some of the hotels city center Marbella.
