Convent Door
I couldn't get a picture of the whole of the Convent, so I decided on just the door. And what a delightful looking entrance door it is. We didn't have a great deal of time for looking at individual buildings, which was a pity.

Hi,
Going to San Pedro (Cortijo Blanco) 10th October. Last time we went to Puerto Banus by bus and taxi back. Would like to go to Marbella but think it would be too expensive by taxi.. I beleive we can get the bus, but wondering if there is a train station at San Pedro?? and if so where is it (roughly) and where can we get to by train from here.
Thanks
Joan
I believe there is no station in San Pedro.

The only train on the Costa del Sol is the local "Cercanias" that runs from Malaga as far as Fuengirola. They will be extending this in the future but some years ahead.
The Marbella based bus company PORTILLO has services from San Pedro to the Marbella bus station or 'centro' . As you may already know, the Portillo bus people also run buses to Malaga airport and other places in this neck of the woods.

Yes, no train but a good (fairly) bus service. The main buses only stop at the bus station, but if you check the "Servicio Urbano" buses, they will take you through both San Pedro and Nueva Andalucia. They are slower, but saves you a taxi if there is a stop nearby.
Hi Guys
Thank you, you have been most helpful.
Much appreciated

Along with the luxurious yachts and the exclusive shops which carry such names as Gucci, Versace and Armani, of course you will find expensive RESTAURANTS and Puerto Banus has plenty of them. Just to sit and have a drink in one of the outside patios will set you back a few Euros.
The server was very friendly. Really good tapas and good wine and the price was good, especially considering the location (on Avenida del Mar) The fried calamari was fresh and just barely dipped in the batter, just enought to fry it, but not overwhelming.
Hans and I ate twice at the RESTAURANTE CHINO HONG KONG. Once by ourself and once when about 20 VT'ers descended upon them all at once. I was quite impressed how they handled us all. We usually order the Menu Del Dia which was a fantastic price of 5,50 Euro.
Choice of soup or Spring Roll. Fried Rice with three delights ( ham, peas and bits of egg ). Choice of Chicken with Almonds ( my favourite ), Sweet and sour Pork and a Beef Dish.
This family-owned restaurant was cheerful and bright and had amazing views over the beach and Meditterannean.
