Visit Granada & the Alhambra ...
Visit Granada & the Alhambra - Breathtaking! My fondest memory is of my (then) 5 year old playing the Pink Panther in a kids show at the Pueblo Indalo.

If you want Spanish sun & sand, but don't want high rise hotels & all night discos, check out Mojacar. It's still mainly unknown, and does not have the frenetic night life demanded by the Euro-tourist.
We stayed in the excellent "Pueblo Indalo" complex - owned by "Best Hotels"- with its 2 pools (+2 kids' pools", 3 bars, 4 restaurants, shops, and a dive school, plus good quality nightly entertainment.
Mojacar village itself is a jewel, clinging to the mountainside above the coastal plain, and there are a number of opportunities for sightseeing in this corner of Andalucia.
Visit & enjoy!
Hello all,
We're considering Andalucia for 2 weeks at the sea with our almost-2-year-old daughter. We need to go in June, but some people are saying the sea is too cold at that time. What are normal sea temperatures in Andalucia in mid-June?
Our travel agencies don't offer a good variety of hotels. What we liked so far (only by the pics) is aparthotel Best Pueblo Indalo in Majacar. Could anyone tell something good or bad about this hotel and/or Mojacar?
We plan to rent a car for all the time, so we'll be able to move around more or less freely. Thank you in advance for any hints!

People are regularly swimming in the sea alread - by June it will be lovely from about 11a.m. to 6 p.m.
Mojacar is a sprawling beach resort - beach long but quite narrow and good for bathing.
Pueblo Indalo is a fairly large/typical aparthotel in excellent position right at centre of the resort and just across the road - not busy - from the beach. Has large inner courtyard surrounded by bars + touristy shops where nightly entertainment takes place. If sitting down here of an evening make sure you cover up well with Mossi repellant as they seem to collect here - I got 24 bites in half an hour!!! We didn´t stay at Pueblo Indalo but visited when staying at the nearby 2 star Hotel Virgin del Mar (where we always stay/book direct with hotel).
Plenty of bars - mainly British - in the resort and some good restaurants. Try the Chinese just past the Hotel Virgin del Mar - superb!
Mojacar is really in the middle of nowhere but you can reach the beautiful Cabo de Gata national park in about half an hour by car and Mojacar Pueblo is reachable within 15 minutes by car or local bus - VERY; VERY touristy/twee!!!
Although we drive up to Mojacar once or twice each year we find a 2 night stay enough then move on to Garrucha or San Jose on the Cabo de Gata - would personally be bored stiff with 2 weeks there.
Hope this helps.
