    I stayed here for a week just before Christmas and it was fairly quiet and relaxed, the Christmas crowds had not yet rolled in! It was very clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly. You can stay at this hotel on either half board or self catering basis, I stayed in a studio self catering so did not experience the restaurant. The bar was excellent, you meet loads of people and the Brandy is cheap!!!

    The hotel is located directly on the beach, it also has a pool, restaurant and a bar with dancing some nights! I would stay here should I ever visit Nerja again.

    Very clean Spanish run Hostal. En Suite. Air conditioned. Central location. I would reccomend this place to anyone and am surprised to not see it mentioned by other members. However. There's always an however isn't there?. I do notice that the Hostal is up for sale on the internet at least. But so many bars etc. are for sale in Nerja and keep on trading normally, often still with the same owners, so don't let this put you off. By the way, The Ermita has 16 en suite rooms and is up for €1,500,000 if anyone is interested !

    This is a town centre Hostal and does not come with any frills such as swimming pool or meals etc. Beds are made daily and all towels are changed daily. Not included in the price of your room but worth noting, there is a restaurant with bar on the ground floor of the building. Besides Spanish fare, English breakfasts (desayunos Englis) are served and you can eat inside or outside if you wish under the awninged terraz at the front and people watch at the same time.

    This is my studio apartment, I travelled alone on this trip - so the studio felt huge! There was also a seaview from here which was fab at night. Behind me there was a kitchenette with hob, fridge and sink and a bathroom.

    The Acapulco apartment is a private block of 30 apartments, 50 odd yards from Carabeo/Burriana beaches. Most of the aparments are south facing have panoramic views. It is situated close to the parador and is a gated, pleasantly quiet block situated in nice gardens with a pool. We rented this traditionally decorated apartment in the end of May 2002. The swimming pool (amd small kids paddling pool) wasn't open (opens June & we were offered a discount to compensate), but it was a clean and situated in pleasant gardens, very close to the beach (quite a climb down in the heat for those who have trouble walking). The apartment was extremely well priced, weather perfect at that time of year and a short stroll into town down interesting little streets full of interesting shops, restaurants & bars. Recommended for a reasonably priced small family apartment. (Car not essential)

    Reasonably priced. Close to Burriana Beach. Clean but nothin glam... Quiet and secure. There were 4 of us, and we paid around £20 per head for a week . So a very reasonable £80 - £100 in total for two bedroom apartment, out of season. (Not air conditioned, but ceiling fans).

  • My favorite accomodation is www.bancotel.com you get bonus to stay in diferent hotels (3,4 starts) for only 50 euros the double room per night, great value and quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • There are many beautiful properties to rent for your holiday including villas and apartments, however we once went there by just booking a flight and we stayed at a hostel/pension run by a guy called juan, and I must say that it was top class. and dirt cheap

    The Hostal San Miguel is in the center of Nerja, a few minutes from the bus station. The Hostal has 12 rooms and there are wonderful views from the rooftop terrace where you can sip a glass of wine while taking in the scenery. There is a pool which comes in very handy with children or if you do not want to bother going down to the beach in the heat. The rooms are vey clean, double rooms with shower/bath, toilet, A/C, heating, TV and a small balcony, some rooms with a bidet. The three rooms on the ground floor are suitable for people using a wheelchair. Average price 37-55 € according to season. Breakfast is not included in the rate, children are free if they don´t occupy an extra bed.

    Cheap, convenient, pool to cool off, Engish spoken, friendly.

    I personally have not stayed at this hotel but have talked to many people that have. When I pass this way, it always looks very nice. People who have stayed here always have said that they have enjoyed their stay. Everything being clean and well appointed.

    For many people staying in the centre of Nerja is too built up for them. Capistrano is a quieter location and, of course, with the markets moving up that way, Nerja Club is well situated. The sunday market has already moved there with the Tuesday one to follow later in 2005.

    I had stayed there twice. I like it because the location, just five minutes walking to the beach and five minutes to the nightlife ;-) Also there is plenty of parking spots just behind. Prices go from 44 in high season up to 30 euros in low season the double room. single room around 10 euros less than double 10 euros more than double No air conditioner, all rooms with private bathroom, some with nice terraces. Really good price quality relation.

  • I have just returned from two weeks at the Apartamentos Toboso which is right beside the Balcon de Europa. But it is also close to a disco which, on Fridays and Saturday is open 'til 4 or 5 am. this might be fine in high season but we went out of season for the very purpose of avoiding the noisy atmosphere. The small studios get no sun on the balcony until lunchtime and the restaurant doesn't open until March. The levels of equipment were poor and we had to ask for a kettle and a toaster and wine glasses. Getting to the place by car is virtually impossible and if, like us, you have big cases it was a real problem making our way to the place. I would not go again
