Dress code.
by Pauldelabar
I know the weather can get hot - VERY HOT, on the Costa del Sol.
But when going into Restaurants and bars, also when dining in most Hotels, both Spanish and English do prefer you to wear a shirt. (and other clothes of course).
In other words, keep the beach wear purely for the beach in respect for the Spanish, other nationalities living here, and other customers alike.
Shorts and 'T' shirts are acceptable. Swim wear is not.
The exceptions are some bars that are actually ON the beach where beachwear is unavoidable if you've just been on it. But in the towns, please cover up to a respectable degree.
The Chapel. (Calle Jaen)

A small but bright and airy little bar. This bar has changed out of all recognition to what it used to look like. Whether that is for the better or worse, you will have to make your own mind up. Great Chinese
by jaygee about Restaurante Chino Dong Fang Chen
Excellent Chinese restaurant on promenade in Torrox-Costa. If you have a car, it's well worth coming here to this fairly recently opened place. The food is great, and there is little extra flourishes like vegetable carved as birds. Interior is large and pleasant. Pescado con Salsa Picant, fish with spicy sauce.
Puente del Aguila
by ayesh
This 14th century aqueduct was constructed to be a passageway for the water that was needed in the mills of the old sugar factory San Joaquín de Maro. You will pass it by when you're driving on the road from Nerja to Almeria, just outside of town on your left side. It's beautifully intact and has 38 arches on 4 storeys.
